Yup and they change the pick up location to the morgue.

We all are pizza in this society we live in.

It’s not a tracking chip. These are updated from the EHR or ADT system the hospital uses. Someone is manually charting or hitting a button of the wall of the OR.
deranger@sh.itjust.works 21 hours ago
I’m an Epic EMR analyst, in Epic these are called “case tracking events” and they’re updated automatically as nurses chart the patient in preprocedure, in room, in recovery, etc.
Apytele@sh.itjust.works 20 hours ago
Unless bed board fucked up and didn’t input an attending in which case the patient is staring at me while I click around for 15 minutes Lille a dumbass while yelling around the corner at my coworker to try calling them for a fifth time.

Is it a comically-oversized red button low Mad Money that plays a sound effect when you slap it?
Kolanaki@pawb.social 10 hours ago
If it takes longer than 30 minutes, it’s free.
cattywampas@lemmy.world 21 hours ago
You know what I find interesting about the quality check step? They’re never sending it backwards for failing the check, are they?

What’s top surgery
sober_monk@lemmy.world 21 hours ago
Surgery for trans people to make the chest more masculine or feminine.
Janx@piefed.social 19 hours ago
+/- booba
andros_rex@lemmy.world 11 hours ago
Id say it’s more likely to be a trans dude than a trans women. Estrogen gives ya tits, but testosterone doesn’t undo tits.
ayyy@sh.itjust.works 18 hours ago
In addition to what the other person said, trans top surgery is actually a small minority. The majority of top surgeries are fat men getting a breast reduction and women getting bigger boobs than the ones they already have.
Themosthighstrange@lemmy.world 10 hours ago
Doesnt taking hrt naturally give you boobs?
bearoftheisle@europe.pub 9 hours ago
presumably having the boobs taken away, not added.
Cris_Citrus@piefed.zip 13 hours ago
Bouta turn out delicious and… full of grease? Probably theres a better way to extend the metaphor…

“What, 3-5 days for delivery?!? LAME”
Themosthighstrange@lemmy.world 10 hours ago
My roommate had extensive neck and back surgery and was back home that very night
aeronmelon@lemmy.world 19 hours ago
30 minutes, or it’s free.
turtlesareneat@piefed.ca 21 hours ago
That shit’s handy cause you don’t have to wait hours and hours for a surgery to finish, you can go do other things. But also my POS husband went and did meth and had sex with some guy while I was on the table. So yeah it’s not going great here. What were we talking about?
SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 21 hours ago
Yeah, I really wish this was a thing when my wife was in the hospital after her strokes and having multiple surgeries.
Not that I would have used the time to smoke meth and have sex with some guy.
neukenindekeuken@sh.itjust.works 19 hours ago
But you could.
panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 20 hours ago
Wow, that is a beyond fucked up thing to do. What a piece of shit.
CluckN@lemmy.world 19 hours ago
If he had a tracker it would’ve solved everything.
captainlezbian@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
I’d ask what the fuck, but my ex’s ex husband was basically that guy too lol

Last time I was the pickup person for a surgery, the surgery went well and fast, then the first recovery room (the one where I wasn’t allowed to visit) took 4 hours. Poor friend was just so slow to get his mental faculties back after anesthesia. I blame his redheaded genes.
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 19 hours ago
I’m sorry about your POS husband. we always just went and got brunch. because brunch is the meal of joy, and we needed joy while we were waiting and stressing about a loved one in surgery.
