anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice
I’m just imagining a hunter double tapping a dead duck point blank with scatter shot

If you look at the sky or something bright and uniform in colour, you can often see floaters in the inside of your eyeball. They also move as you try to look at them.
I would suggest not looking though, because once you know there their some people get bothered by it.

Does the sun actually travel in a straight line, or do the orbits of the planets wobble it, and to what extent?

Side note: I am angry I can’t log in to my cbc gem account without adding my age and postal code.
It asks for gender but you can put “prefer not to say”.
Birthday and postal code are not skippable though.
- Comment on Can someone ELI5 RSS/Atom feeds? 3 weeks ago:
They do not need an account ever.
There are a few companies that run reader apps that do require an account.
RSS was very common until Google created Google Reader, everyone centralized on it for some reason, then they killed it. Then Google and Apple and Firefox removed rss feeds from their browsers.
There are independent apps not is hard to find good ones

I’ve rebuilt databases from logs and snapshots several times.
It should be pretty easy (and by easy I mean labour intensive and exhaustingly detailed) to pick a snapshot, identify real money in, then undo all skin/item purchases and revert all money to the original amounts.
That’s kind of best case scenario to the user base. Nobody gets screwed.
It’s also possible the hackers didn’t just modify the tables so there’s an audit trail, or they have change data capture enabled, or can replay the database transactions out of the box.
This is all very stack dependent.

I want to retire early, but I would still keep working because I find what I do stimulating and rewarding.
Retirement for me would be working small jobs that I want to do, and taking classes that I find interesting. I’d probably be taking jobs at small businesses and charities.

I wrote latex template files that the markdown rendered into, that way I could use my own macros and styles.

I used it a lot for university… and I did not know that.
I did migrate to pandoc and markdown for a lot of stuff, with custom template files.
