Here’s a super rare, cool, and interesting beetle! *posts a super low quality image*
FundMECFSResearch@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 day ago
Appreciate your images. But I don’t think that shade on OP was necessary lol.
Psythik@lemm.ee 1 day ago
The shade absolutely was necessary. This isn’t reddit; have some standards.

The one tagged “female” was just a bottom view and they both look similiar? Is that the joke?
JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world 1 day ago
No there’s no joke. It’s the same beetle, top and bottom. Split down the middle to be genetically male and female
raldone01@lemmy.world 1 day ago
Psythik@lemm.ee 1 day ago
To be fair, your images are full of jpeg artifacts. But at least they’re higher res.
gofsckyourself@lemmy.world 1 day ago
That’s why I didn’t say anything about jpeg artifacts. Just low quality.

This looks like Turkish actor Mehmet Cerrahoglu, most famous for playing the villian in the horror movie Baskin. He is suffering from Gapo Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.

nature is not perfect, and yes, only to genders.
henfredemars@infosec.pub 2 days ago
Why is nature not perfect to genders?
tacofox@lemm.ee 2 days ago
The wrong use of to/two perfectly encapsulates the whole anti-trans population perfectly.
Typhoonigator@lemmy.world 2 days ago
You should introduce the second half of your sentence to its first half
Muaddib@sopuli.xyz 2 days ago
Nature isn’t perfect to lots of stuff. Genders aren’t the only thing nature isn’t perfect to.
Semjaza@lemmynsfw.com 1 day ago
What does this even mean? I’ve been stumped for the whole day… You’ve brained wormed me with this indescipherable string of words.
RandomVideos@programming.dev 1 day ago
How would you define gender?

Genuinely an interesting mutation, it’s weird that it’s listed as happening in Rodents but not other mammals? Is that just a numbers thing I wonder?
burgersc12@mander.xyz 2 days ago
Well, you can see where the legs connect on the right one, but no the left one, so yeah

So toilets are usually female - male but beetles are male - female to make circle - female symbol on toilet. Noted, from now on when I spot beetle I will compare it with toilet to figure out if it’s male or female.
