It worked for trump.
CNN would leave a camera on an empty mic side-by-side with the newsreader while a Clinton rally was in progress and never show the Clinton rally.
Only one of many ways they enabled and supported trump - as we should all be incredibly aware of, and yet, are not.

As an old, I say unto thee, this is relatively new. Back in the before-times, they were very much the same thing in that the guy who used the word Zionist was inevitably a 100% fer-realz racist shitbag nazi klansman. Henry Ford. Charles Lindbergh. Fred Trump. Bubba, down at the Try ‘N Sav.
But hey, times change. I’m only mentioning it because a lot of the freshmen are confused about it.

- Comment on Do americans living in Red States really despise american living in Blue States? 3 weeks ago:
It’s a multi-layered answer as you can see. Typically in-person, no although most people don’t want to go to NY, for example, they don’t mind it being there or it being NY.
Collectively, they become tools of rightwing propaganda and eventually vote against blue states that, again, personally they don’t have any real problems with.
A third level is the chuds who believe fox news and newsmax etc etc and yes they are brainwashed cultist idiots whose own family are embarrassed by them. They are numerous in red state areas. Efforts to discuss any of the talking points are unsuccessful. Occasionally, a religious argument will carry some progressive element, but it’s few and far between.

Yeah it took on a life of its own, including his effort to crush it or explain it away. But I think he said it. Also that it was heavily context-dependent, and ultimately just a way to shit on the man who single-handedly robbed us all of an open-source utopia of informed citizenry by being a greedy bastard.

Of course in those days 640 Megs of RAM was all we needed.
“There’ll never be a need for more than that”, you’d say.
- Comment on Israeli arms firms threaten journalists at UK airshow 4 weeks ago:
Elbit’s Hermes drone killed three British military veterans – John Chapman, James Kirby and James ‘Jim’ Henderson – who were delivering aid along a coastal road in Gaza in 2024.
Footage of what appeared to be a Hermes drone flying above a coastline was being played on a large screen at Elbit’s stand, as well as air-to-ground missiles.
When asked by Declassified if this was insensitive to the veteran’s families, they repeatedly denied an Elbit drone was responsible for the deaths, saying “You’re very misinformed” before telling us to “walk away”.
Elbit’s private security guards – some of whom appear to be British military veterans – then began to usher our team away
