God damnit, I thought for sure this had to be fake, so I had to check, to retain a micron of faith in humanity. But nay, it’s real.

Yeah at least with fallout there were really generous, friendly people to help navigate you through the wasteland. That game and culture would be perfect if not for the live service feel.

Density mutha fucka!

No real loss then I guess. I gave up rather quickly on that one. I guess my thing with survival games is that I’m less and less willing to trudge through as much bullshit. I can play hard games and struggle through. I can play bad games and struggle through. But I can’t do both and the survival genre seems to have a lot of both.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll have to check it out! I also happen to love viking lore.

Survival games. I want to like em. I’ve tried tons of them. Green hell, 7 days to die, Dayz, hell, even Fallout 76, and lots more. Most of them don’t give you a tutorial, let alone any clues. I get that they’re supposed to be difficult, but most are arbitrarily difficult. But at least tell me how to fucking take something out of inventory and into my hand! It’s not like if thrown into a survival situation I would somehow forget how hands work. And if you’re not going to give a tutorial, at least let me start in a safe area so I can figure it out.
7 days to die really pissed me off because as soon as I’d find a gun, a stupid dog would come out of nowhere straight for me, and they take insane amounts of shots to put em down but the ammo is really REALLY scarce. Seriously though, what kind of dog can take 10 rds at point blank, and be totally unfazed? Someone later told me to combine a rock and a stick and that’ll get them in one hit. Come on, 10 rds won’t do it but a club will?
Or games with like 56 health indicators and you have to keep track of all of them? I’m sorry you’re bored, dude in the zombie apocalypse, but get the fuck over it. How can he be bored?!? Is survival not stimulating enough?

Downvote me if you want but longer wheelbase means its easier to ground out in the middle. It also means it can’t hit higher angles or turn as tight.

Because the rest of us get put in the same group. And this whole thread is about stereotyping, so I don’t think it’s out of order for a few jeep owners to vent their frustration of other jeep owners. Like, I get the stereotype, and I’m not arguing it, because it annoys me too. I’m the one being stereotyped because the hobby has been intruded on. And then the duck thing got picked up by all jeep models. I’ve seen base model brand new unmodded Cherokees with 30 ducks. I wouldn’t take that more off-road than a gravel road. It’s a mockery of the community.

Mines 15 years old and I haven’t experienced roof leaks, even in car washes. It is loud, not as loud as my MX-5 though. My biggest complaint with the jeep is driving on the highway when it’s windy. That shit is scary AF.

JK is solid. 2012 got the better engine my my '11 has never had any problems. I know the engine will die on me at some point and I’ll just have to swap. Hoping someone makes a kit to fit the hurricane in there by then.

- Comment on I can only be assertive when I'm on edge, is this normal? 2 weeks ago:
I had an anger problem when I was younger. Had that happen at a party with an acquaintance that ran in our circle of friends. Took a personal bag of chips like that, the dollar bag. The worst part was his smug smile while he ate a chip. Snatched em out of his hand crushed em and dumped the bag on his head. Damn near got in a fight over it. Id say your reaction was better than mine, but you also don’t want to let yourself be a doormat. Thankfully I’ve calmed down a lot since those days, but I also surround myself with better people now as well. Somewhere between our reactions is where you’d want to be.
- Comment on Is it weird that I cringe whenever someone calls my name and I avoid using peoples names when talking to them? 2 weeks ago:
I do the same “hey man, what’s up?” Because it takes my brain a second to use the search function. I know their name but I can’t come up with it in time for passing chat. So “hey man” comes off as less of a dick move than just standing there staring blankly at them.

And people also need to tempur their expectations. OP isn’t taking down the administration, pretending they are is just blowing hot air up both your ass and theirs. It’s a disservice to them and anybody actually trying to move the needle. At MOST it could be a juicy tell-all that won’t get acted upon. Fleeing the country is quite excessive for that.

Hey that’s awesome. I live in a blue haven deep in maga territory, our police dept is decent while the sheriffs department sucks shit.

Realism isn’t condescension. I know every one of us daydreams about taking the system down, but fleeing the country and uprooting your life for something that doesn’t get noticed isn’t exactly a win other than getting out of the country. Without knowing exactly what the info is, it’s more harmful to encourage someone to do something drastic and feed into the daydream.
