They don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Mass Effect worked.

It’s also to give people something to do. Something to practice and focus on getting right. Gives hope and keeps people from getting caught in a panic loop.

There are places in the US, that when you buy a house or property, you are given a choice. You can build a sidewalk for it yourself, or you can pay the city/county for a sidewalk.
The thing is, if you pay the city/county for the sidewalk, they stipulate that they can build that sidewalk where ever they want. This does not have to include in front of, or anywhere near, your house
The US is a very strange place.

I tell at any co worker about exactly this. We even deal with the public and they use terms and jargon no one will understand it leads to mistakes.
It’s just weird gatekeeping.
Oddly enough multiple classes I took at uni even covered communicating with simple terms, being understandable, and not using jargon. Yet here we are still…

I’ll bite. I hate billionaires. Let’s check this out.
Things that hurt indie devs in this article:
- Lack of available talent
- Burnout
- Lack of upfront funding (before a game is ever released)
- Generally bad economy post COVID
- Actual predatory exclusive tactics from epic or gamepad
- The nebulous idea that the entire industry and fans need a culture change
Things not cited in this article as a problem:
- Steam in any capacity. Directly or implied

Did not know the horror until family visited and their dog caught one and was playing with it. So terrifying!

I’ll leave this here, as I’m particularly bothered by the weird megamyth of kudzu in the US, as is evidenced but the other comments.
English ivy is actually a generally bigger threat but it never gets any real attention.
I will concede that the image above is kudzu tho.

I like Humankind.
I like the civ switch since you can change you priorities each age. Also I like having a leader I actually like with a civ I like.
Let’s me do what I want to do the entire campaign instead of having to be stick with some stuff I don’t like just to play with the things I do like.
I’m terrible at these games so I can’t speak to balance and strategy and stuff. I use lots of auto stuff or relying on suggested choices from advisors lol.

Sounds similar to Humankind. Which is nice cus I like that game.

Why bother to fit your acronym to latex otherwise. ConTexT is another one. Would be silly otherwise.
The creator might promote saying tech, but that shouldn’t matter since they Internet ignores the creator of the gif format and swears on ghif instead of the desired jiff…

Plastic is pretty stable. Since this is an aquarium it isn’t get direct sunlight at a rate to make the plastic degrade to the point of polluting the water.
Also, since it’s an aquarium, the are already many kinds of plastics involved. The pumps, tubing, filters, and so on all contain plastic that would have a heater likelihood of degrade sure to mechanical action.
