  Why do we even need people to show us apartments. My best experience when looking for a my last apartment was a place that had a automated system, you scan your drivers license for verification, their app gives you the address and the time to visit, when you get there it gives you a lockbox code that will contain the keys to the apartment, you check the apartment out and return the keys to the lockbox on your way out, this should be the default for every rental apartment visit. Every agent I had to deal with was less than useful, this industry needs to die.

  I just use YT music in brave browser on my iPhone cause it blocks all Ads and I had a app that did that for Android revanced I think, works for now, someday I’d prefer to setup my own self hosted music server and then only use YT music, Spotify etc to discover new songs

  This is a concept in the Dune book series where the fremen use bats and birds who’s speech they can modify in a way that encoded any secret message they want and then they send the bird out and someone else can then catch the bird and decode it’s speech to get the message. That’s why in the Dune 2 movie there’s a bird menagerie inside the fremen caves

  I guarantee you the modern “hacking” scenes are just as over the top, people just don’t know any better, Mr. Robot TV show is the closest to realistic hacking and it’s not exciting and there’s no clean GUI with animations, just a terminal and a lot of typing and lots of manipulating people into making mistakes
