- Comment on How important is owning your own video games to you? 5 days ago:
Since I don’t come from a culture of selling games that thought never occurred to me, when I was a kid we’d just share our games with each other, so I guess I never saw it as a source of profit, as an adult I don’t know if I would even bother with the effort of trying to sell a video game for whatever little money you could get for them
- Comment on Do you fear for children's future with social media growing even more? 5 days ago:
If I even choose to have kids someday they are no gonna get a tablet or a smartphone till they are like 10+ uaa years old, these social networks and games will negatively impact their mental development if exposed to early
- Comment on How important is owning your own video games to you? 5 days ago:
Not that much since I rarely have any interest in replaying a game, but then again I never buy them for full price, I only buy them very cheaply on Steam sales. I have no idea why anyone would pay $60+ to “rent” a game, I’d just ISO it alongside buying it in such a case

Because line must go up, and to make that happen must push something out to meet deadline, even if you know it’s shit, basic monkey business 101

- Comment on If Batman Was In Australia 1 week ago:
If they were smart they wouldn’t be criminals in the first place, hell their boss calls himself the joker for a a reason
- Comment on If Batman Was In Australia 1 week ago:
This is why Batman only comes out a night to fight crime

Do this but for washing dishes instead, as someone who hand washes dishes because I don’t believe in dishwashers that is my biggest Sisiphyan task

Wasn’t this stupid trend started to gather training data for AI

This shit better not be AI
- Comment on Streaming Is Raising Prices Faster Than Cable Ever Did 5 weeks ago:
Well it’s a lot easier to just get a streaming subscription for a month, watch what you want and then cancel, compared to how it was in the days of cable, that being said because there is so much fragmentation of content between different platforms you might have to juggle through multiple websites just watch what you want
- Comment on Wait, you mean workers *don't* love the automatic dumbass machines that constantly threaten their jobs? 1 month ago:
Exactly my company is heavily pushing for full agentic development and while that does save time a bit, it comes at a cost, for one I’m no longer getting the deeper understanding of the codebase that I would if I did the work myself, and secondly the number of PRs that AI pushes out creates a review bottleneck because people can’t keep up, but management doesn’t care, they’d rather you push something out fast and if it breaks things it’s your job on the line not the AI subscription.
- Comment on Profit over people is a failed system 1 month ago:
I think with the push for full AI automation this will just get worse as they will try to replace as many humans as possible for profit in every industry and then have these desperate unemployed people reduced to bonded labourers

It’s only good for single player games, I tried multiplayer games on Stadia and it just didn’t work

How many times does cloud gaming need to fail before these corporate stooges give up on it

This is why I always skip a few items at self checkout, if you don’t want to pay the cashier, then you’ll pay me instead

I’d rather deal with the people who are standing and ready to immediately get off than the lazy ones who won’t stand but then want to hold up all the other passengers as they lazily grab their shit from the overhead compartments
- Comment on Has anobody seen Odyssey? 2 months ago:
The Odyssey trailers did not appeal to me much, so I’m confused by the praise it’s getting, is it because it’s actually good or normies just giving it 10/10 because it’s a Nolan movie. I watched Oppenheimer in theater and realized I could have saved the cost of the ticket and watched it at home without losing much, how does this movie compare to that, I’ve liked most of Nolans other movies except Tenet

Love that Canadian south park character of Linus lol
- Comment on If you need a portable reader, is there any reason to choose an e-reader over your phone? 3 months ago:
One of the biggest improvement isn’t event the e-ink screen, it’s the fact that erraders can be much lighter than most phones, my old 6 inch kindle is so light that I can comfortable hold it for hours where as my phone becomes tiring after like 20 mins, that alone makes it worth it. And beyond that you get the weeks of battery life, so if you are serious about reading it’s definitely better than using your phone or a tablet
- Comment on "We're all in this together" 3 months ago:
What the hell do they need a private jet for, that has to be a ego purchase, also they have the money for this but not for taking care of their employees, especially the ones getting harassed, I unsubscribed to their channel when they dropped that fake apology video with Advertisement, cant believe they are still profitable
- Comment on Got too greedy at the end there 3 months ago:
Works similarly in video games as well lol

Same, Vice City and San Andreas are the only GTA games I enjoyed, got GTA 5 for free on Epic played it for a bit and got bored and dropped it, I do not like the photo real look, GTA works best with the slightly cartoons, janky graphics of San Andreas, the photo real shit has no soul
