To be fair, refrigeration also saved lives. Just because there was a major negative side Effekt doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good invention.

I guess we are trained to see the sun as the center due to historic reasons. Really helps with not assuming everything revolves around us.
But the sun also provides a Bright center for the drawing so there is some artistic merit, I believe.

Now rephrase the experiment s.t. you have to beams serviced from a singular beam. interfere the two beams with each other. If you measure on one beam path (e.g. Pol filter) you destroy the interference pattern.

You can wash clothes. When they are made to last they last more than 1 wash.

- Comment on Infinite Hotel Paradox 1 week ago:
If you have n rooms and n guests there are no empty rooms. Let n go to infinity and there should still be no empty rooms.
The trick of the Hilbert hotel is that if you add a guest to a hotel with countably infinite guests the number of guests does not change.
- Comment on Entropy? Never heard of it. 2 weeks ago:
My man, the issue is that reluctance to decarbonize may be fuelled by this. Not that it will not be necessary. The current climate predictions are quite optimistic and shit is going to shit. This means we must not hope for a wonder weapon, but do what is possible and economic today, instead of active inaction and paralysis.
This sentiment is shared with a substantial part of the CCS critical experts.

This is a joke.
While physically possible DAC is a waste of money and energy compared to effective measures such as constructing solar farms, batteries and power lines. Even hydrolysis may look attractive.

While your sentiment that it is not that bad may be true, the numbers you cited mean nothing.
Death by shark is rather unlikely, but swimming in shark waters while bloodied might still be more dangerous than numbers suggest.
We live in the safest time. But also hear of a lot of bad shit happening every day.

Speed limits are somewhat enforced in Germany. Just because you can floor it at times does not mean you can go 100 in a 50.

That’s not what Bitrate means. They use a lossy compression to send you the video. When targeting lower bandwidth/bitrate you see more artifacting.

- Comment on Reactor goes brrr 2 months ago:
I would hazard a guess that it ain’t work like that.
You need a moderator to facilitate a slow fisson reaction. Some of the produced neutrons have misfit speed to create another fisson reaction.
Also note that fissile and radioactive is not the same, but you used them correctly.
