It’s for configuring joysticks in a simulator…

What even is the point of separating blue/red? Instead use reverse kinematic to put raise/lower bucket on one and tilt bucket on the other. Then another virutal axis to do the “digging arc of circle” in a single action.
hobovision@lemm.ee 1 year ago
There’s a ton of reasons that an operator would not want to rely on reverse kinematics. They are a professional who needs to make sure they don’t slam a big machine arm into something. While reverse kinematic control is nice as a user, it has multiple possible solutions, some of which may not be acceptable.

My guess is grading. When you’re grading you need to supply a different amount of power to the arms depending on the angle. But I’m no expert in this. Seems to be the standard euro configuration and I was looking for this to setup a simulator

I have a precious moments figure that was purchased the day I was born with my name and the year on it, and a glass mug with the same.
My grandma gave them to me when I was 18, she had a collection for all the kids in the family.
So this absolutely tracks.

I’ve similarly set aside a Katniss Everdeen Funko Pop for each of my progeny, once they’re of age.

As someone who is thinking of going into IT, is it worth it?
Stovetop@lemmy.world 11 months ago
Unfortunately there’s no easy answer, and it depends on what kind and how well you do with it
I work in IT as a sysadmin for a nonprofit, and there’s a lot of variety which makes it difficult to predict what a normal day will be like, but it keeps the days from feeling too repetitive. But I know that sort of unpredictability is not for everyone, and a lot of folks prefer a more routine experience.
Similarly, there are some IT jobs which require you to work on site, and others that allow you to be fully remote. Whichever is preferable will likewise vary from person to person.
Be open to new challenges, but also don’t feel like you need to compromise your priorities just for the income. And most importantly, be good at whatever you want to do, or else every day can be like sitting under the sword of Damocles.

To be fair, a) they are not the administration yet, and b) no one in any previous administration was secretly working for the US either.

It’s called high-functioning mental illness and yes it’s based on the assumption that if you can hold a job, what’s you’re problem?
HFMI is epidemic in the US and probably throughout the industrialized world.

I agree with this on a spiritual level. I despise billboards. Hell, advertisement period.
