Well, my wife still needs to get to work whilst it is getting fixed and the repairs are going to take months. If we choose to repair the car we will not be able to buy a new one so it’s a bit of a Catch-22.
Even if the car was fine, we would be still selling it. She had trouble with parking a car as big as a CX-5, and that car burns a bit too much diesel for her 70 km a day commute.
We are most likely to buy a car that’s at least 10 years old, we can’t afford any better. Probably we will be buying Toyota Auris for about 6K.

Is it to lower the prices of the car you want to buy?
- Comment on I bought a car with a bad engine 1 day ago:
The first quote I got for the car was 1200 euros.
The engine repair guy said the repair would cost at least 3000, but the parts are hard to come by and it might take months just to get them. Getting them from the manufacturer would quickly inflate the price. And even if we replace all those parts, it would still prolong car’s life for 3-5 years.
- Comment on I bought a car with a bad engine 1 day ago:
Yes, but it would be as expensive as the car. It is also technically possible to replace a bunch of parts in order to fix it, but they are hard to get and expensive to get from the manufacturer.
- Comment on I bought a car with a bad engine 1 day ago:
Yes, it is something very similar to that.

Might be, might be. Or WellThatSucks if we have one.
- Comment on I bought a car with a bad engine 2 days ago:
The engine doesn’t supply the oil to some of it’s parts properly, so parts like the turbo compressor went bad.
- Comment on I bought a car with a bad engine 2 days ago:
The car is too old for that.
- Comment on I bought a car with a bad engine 2 days ago:
Yes. But to see the defect, one has to remove the underside of the engine which we didn’t do.

To be honest, USSR, for which tankies simp so much, purged the Jews, the Poles, the Armenians, the Uzbeks and pretty much anyone who wasn’t either Georgian or Russian from their government. So in a weird way, communists were fascist too.

With modern art, I am surprised that they even noticed it.

Just got Snufkin: Melody of the Moomin Valley
Originally for my wife, but she got annoyed by the movement too fast. My favourite review of the game so far:
![In this game you will play as the world famous criminal and ecoterrorist Snufkin.
Snufkin is unemployed but charismatic traveller-musician helping various interesting creatures of Moominvalley, all while sabotaging typical autocratic right-winger Hemulen’s plans on making up mundane rules and destroying everything good and beautiful.
Cops in the game are represented evil and stupid, as they are in real life, so I would recommend the game for the whole family as educational game.
On the serious note: Gameplay is fine for this type of game. The core is in the atmosphere, dialogue and sound design which all are great. So far the experience has been smooth, fun and relaxing. Would recommend, but adults should not expect much challenge here.](sh.itjust.works/…/c974bcc9-703d-49b5-b070-5886b93…)
- Comment on Do you ever think that maybe all VPN services are actually secretly owned/funded by governments and that they are only giving you a false illusion of privacy? 2 months ago:
VPN companies actually use user created genuine traffic to hide bots and web crawlers and scrapers. That’s part of why their VPN’s are that cheap, they use your traffic to hide more expensive to buy bot traffic.

I use this one, mostly because it was pretty cheap, is wireless and has a rechargeable battery.
I would splurge a little more now that I like using a vertical one, but I was afraid of spending a lot just to shelve it for eternity like I did with some other devices…

I have never done that, actually. My wife, on the other hand…

Yes, my native language does not have a distinction that is as obvious. I meant that their sex changes into the gender they identify with in my hypothetical scenario.

Yes, but wouldn’t some religious people see the spell as divine intervention?
- Comment on Would magically turning all trans people into the gender they want to be be unethical? 3 months ago:
egg_irl community would go nuts, for starters. All the anti-trans people being outed as closet trans too. Which religions would try to play it off as an act of god? This is what keeps me up at night.
