I made this. Screen names, dial-up sound, no account. We fill the Lobby every Saturday 2pm US Central. Bring your worst 1997 screen name.
So where do I send my bots?

OP, this is you for real? First off, well done. It’s lovely to be online without bots.
Can you tell us from a privacy perspective, what records and data you collect? I assume IP address and logs of the text. What else? Browser data? Just curious.
Thank you :-) - yep, it’s me. no account or email. your lines are stored with your screen name and shown to people in the room for up to seven days.
a random token in your browser holds your name so nobody else can take it; it isn’t tied to who you are. your IP is used for rate limits and spam and kept 7 days at most.
lines are checked by an outside moderation service before they post, and a few refused ones are kept 48 hours to tune the filter.
the bot check (Vercel) may set its own cookie. nothing is sold. full privacy page is in Help. don’t put personal info in the room, anyone can read it.
The “outside moderation service” appears to be OpenAI, so the chats will be stored indefinitely.
If not a/s/l, not realistic.
There are many
18/f/cali, even if the real answer starts with a 4.
I just recommended Angine de Poitrine to someone in there, good times.
Also I’m recommending Angine de Poitrine to all of you too. A breath of fresh music air in this goddamn capitalist hellscape we’re in.
What a cool thing! It’s super chill in there.
I haven't been called slurs, yet.
0/10, not accurate. >:C
Hehehe, I love that you also made a bootup and desktop interface! You've done a real good job!
I’m just here to fight about Windows 95 vs System 7.
Workbench 3.1 is clearly superior
Warp ftw
I like System 7 a lot more because I have a lot more experience with it growing up and playing Shatterball.
I mean it’s in the domain name so not unsurprising
“lol” was not a thing yet
Wrong, we rofl’d and lol’d on our BBS chatboards in the 80s.
“Dave Barry in Cyberspace” was published in 1996 and contained a list of abbreviations commonly used on the Internet, including “LOL”.
Poor kid though it’s about League of legends
A/S/L?
🤟
It’s not much, but it’s honest ASL.
I used it for AOL/AIM. back then it was “lots of love” so when it started changing and used in texts I was confused, lol 🤔
But it was laugh out loud before AOL/AIM existed.
Thanks for making this. Its so fun!
