You can see them in the video. Even in the picture.

Ahh, that’s more clear then, sorry!
Heat map images were analyzed using canonical correlation (Rc) to determine the relationship between the two groups; dispersion testing to decipher spatial uniformity within the images; the Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) to characterize the nature of image patterns differences; and, the Breslow–Day Test to specify pattern locations within images.

Basically:
- n women clicked somewhere on the bush
- The bush is officially located at coordinates x/y
- Place heat map point (circle) n times at x/y (the bush)

To your edit: The dots do make sense.
This is an overlay of every participant. So if 100 women clicked in the same 10 places, for instance, they would be red. While places 50 women clicked would be yellow.
Also, even if this was eye tracking of one person, it could still make sense. Red != 100%. Red is the place where the most time was spent looking. So of 1s was spent on all the dots, and everywhere else was less than 1s, then red. Comparing it to the male chart is what makes it seem off, but the comparison of color doesn’t matter, it’s the math.

- Comment on If you pay attention to panhandlers 2 weeks ago:
It is almost always better to give money to your local food bank than to someone on the side of the road.
They buy in bulk, making the money go farther. Also, while casualties from panhandling are low, motor vehicle accidents are still common enough.
And yes, some people can’t make it to the food bank, but that’s a rarity. It’s done because they can get more that way than at a food bank. Unfortunately food banks can’t do the same (legal reasons).

I do. Especially when I was young. This was 2002, so it’s probably the same store he went to all the time to browse. (Assuming this is real, of course).
- Comment on W for Uncle Ted 2 weeks ago:
For those who go down the rabbit hole:
- Wikipedia still lists him as employed at Yale
- Yale’s faculty page still has him listed
- He was very recently relieved from teaching duties while Yale reviews the emails that happened after Epstein’s conviction
- He rates last out of 82 computer science professors at Yale

If you eat an apple from the top down, you can eat the middle without much texture change. Apples don’t actually have a “core”, just seeds.

Why is the US shoes on? So not the norm anywhere I’ve lived.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. Is it limited to just your hands? While not for me, I’ve been interested in alternative control models (head, arm, feet, XBox adaptive controller, etc). I hear it’s a challenge to learn the muscle memory, of course.

May I ask what part of playing makes it difficult? Duration? Dexterity? Specific motions, etc? If it’s too much, please feel free to ignore me.

Hah, yea I have some automations I’ve used (including a modifiable sunrise) since before that existed, but basically has the same effect.

We have a “sunshine” script in Home Assistant that sets all bulbs to daylight and 100%. Great for livening up overcast days.

Without knowing their stack it sounds like a really simple fix, just storw which is the main screen.
Soooo… if it’s simple… contribute then?
I’ve learned an app’s stack for far more mundane things. If you want others to build something you want, it helps to build things other’s want. Sounds like there would be a lot of interest if you took this on.

Haha if you go back, Meal Deals are addictive. They look like cheap gas station sandwiches, but they’re quality ingredients with good fresh bread. Combos we don’t get here like cheese and onion are just a very different thing than you would expect.

I’m geniunly curious why you are getting down voted. The “propaganda” word choice is clearly part of the joke.
I mean, I wish we used C instead of F, but this take is still a whoosh.

But did you get a Meal Deal?
- Comment on Is history about to repeat itself? 4 weeks ago:
When it’s cold all the time you adapt (not your body, your behaviors). For instance, when I am outside, I’m moving and working my body, and generally within 10-15 minutes I’m stripping off a layer or two already. People don’t typically stand around in this cold unless they have to.
Even with the ice cream, it was after a ridge hike, and we stood outside for about 15 minutes. After that amount of time your core temp lowers and you start to feel the cold, so you either get moving or get inside. But when I arrived I would have been happy in a T-shirt.

- Comment on Is history about to repeat itself? 5 weeks ago:
The one thing they left out was school buses. Schools did let out early, but too late, so the traffic from the buses and parents melted the first layer of snow, with no plowing or salting. So it refroze into sheets of ice before people left work.
Source: Me in traffic for 12 hours.
Note: I now live in a place so cold that this week I hiked in -6F and had ice cream outside at 13F. 😃

While I don’t disagree with the sentiment, encouraging a large community driver like Silksong to create a community IS the way to grow niche communities, not the reverse.

At first I nodded my head to this since it adds user volume in one place, but this is the Fediverse, where no one set of mods or communities gets to “own” anything.
People can subscribe to both, so to me, the “best to not duplicate” doesn’t just not fit, but it’s the antithesis of the purpose.

I read his biography long ago. While it didn’t pull punches, even then he seemed really promising and I left it with a good feeling, just flawed character traitsany people have. It was easy to believe those things true until negative sentiment was revealed and it clicked on what he must have been like during those times.
