Absolute classic. I’ve been on one end or the other of most of the calls made in that vid.

you were maybe just drily reminding everyone that there are also feet.
That was it really. I was confused about the discourse myself lol.

There’s mystery? Women drive trucks all the time. They also, for the most part, have feet.

Could be feet.

Release order is the way to go. Like, I get why people prefer alternate orders, like by theme etc, but there’s a legit magic to the world building that gets glossed over when jumping around.

- Comment on Is it possible to cool my body enough to not sweat while exercising? 1 month ago:
I can totally relate. But to answer your original question (and reinforce one of the other poster’s points), there’s no getting around sweating, even if you’re cold. I was digging out from the recent storm in the dark, gusty wind, temps well below freezing, taking things slowly. Still sweat through my inner shirt and hood.

A friend of mine reached out to a couple of Nebula creators to ask them if it was more beneficial financially for people to watch their stuff on Nebula or YT. Neither had a cut and dried answer, saying that YT views are important for long term discoverability that was hard to quantify vs getting a direct cut of the Nebula money/YT ads. So I’ll sometimes watch shorter-form videos on YT and save the deep dives/binging for Nebula.

IMO they did a pretty good job foreshadowing. She was absolutely brutal in Astapor (justifiably), and was on her way in Meereen before being talked down by her advisors. This becomes a recurring theme: she wants to charge in and go scorched earth, Jorah/Varys/Tyrion/etc urge caution. And at the end, none of them were there any longer. Varys and Tyrion were rejected as traitors, Jorah, Missandei, Rhaegal, and Viserion all killed in her presence. It was just Dany, Drogon, grief, and rage at the end.
Going by the general reaction, it was probably a bit too subtle. But it’s pretty low on my list of GoT endgame sins.

what should be a multi month voyage is reduced to days
I think this is what got under my skin the most on the initial watch. Gendry just… running… all the way back to the wall, sending a raven for Dany, and her showing up for the rescue… what was that, like, 6 shots? It pulled me right out.
I kept that in mind during rewatch. What I started realizing is that the early seasons were able to cover passage of time by switching locations/storylines. There was a LOT going on in a bunch of places, and for the most part it was handled well. As the end approached, there were less locations/storylines as everything converged on the North and King’s Landing. So not only did the show lose having the books to fall back on, they also lost the ability to mask time skips. And this was not handled well at all. The result was jarring cuts and a rushed pace. I don’t think stretching the end out any further just for the sake of being longer would have been a net positive, let alone adding seasons of what would have amounted to filler. But there had to have been a better way to avoid those self inflicted faceplants.

I have no idea who that is
I know exactly who this is, even without the username tip-off. Here’s what their record looked like in September:
I happened across the user when looking into a string of -1’s on brand new posts in a small community. They were all the same person, and that person downvoted 244 times for each upvote.
This on its own is not normal behavior. Combine it with this user’s comments - which are pretty much completely on brand for the average Lemmy user - and it becomes even more bizarre.
