- Comment on Was a TV show you like ever ruined by the addition of a particular character to the point that you had to quit, or nearly quit? 4 days ago:
The lincoln lawyer tv show
Introduction of Cisco ruined it.
Guy is supposed to be a big macho hunk biker and was some sweaty mom’s basement dewler… we had to turn it off and never went back.

That’s not how it works though. Unless you didn’t work regular hours during that same time period so worked less overall OT is taxed higher upfront so you don’t end up owing (more), but would never decrease your pay

I’d you made say 1500 normally and 2000 with ot your take home could be 1200 and 1400. Paying more taxes overall on the ot but still taking home more.
There is no way you’d take home less money because taxes are paid on the first $1500 @ $300 and say the next $500 @ $300 too at a higher bracket. Overall your pay is still higher though even though your taxes “doubled”.

- Comment on The $1999 Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 makes the rest of the RTX 50 series look suspiciously sensible 2 months ago:
The 5080 is over 50% cut down which is the largest gap yet.
Their performance graphs are also very misleading by using 3 fake frames did every real one vs 1faked on 4000 series.

Yes but those are theatre specific and usually expensive

Bring back movie pass!
Went to way more shows with that.
It’s like $15 for a ticket and another $15 for a drink and popcorn per person.
Prices are so bad that even 16oz bottle water is $5+ at many theatres

My Google news feed thing on my phone constantly has these bullshit side hustle articles. I hate everything about them

Even storing full comments isn’t much more storage. Just consider it as another random comment from someone else. Doubt most people edit their comments so 95% of comments only have 1 copy. Hell they used (maybe still do) ignore edits in the first 5 min or something likely so people could fix typos/formatting before they start storing history separately.
- Comment on Can anyone suggest some good co-op games for two people? 7 months ago:
I’d highly recommend Stolen Realms. Pretty cheap too
It’s a hex grid turn based game. You can have up to 6 characters (difficulty scales per character) and can each control as many in the party as you want. Turns are taken as enemy, and players with the players able to act at the same time so you aren’t waiting too long if you are communicating about what you want to do.
It has multiple “classes” with skill tiers that require you to take a few from that “class” but you can spec however you want.
The roguelike mode is very fun for quick sessions and will reward you with a choice of random skills and armors after every fight, but it also saves if you need to go and play later.
