Oh! I know! Itās on a boat. Added so the bed wonāt move during the storm. Right?
Right?
Correct. This is for the motion in the ocean.
Its a storm alright
I donāt know about your bedpost but those fasteners donāt look adequate to me. Especially into plaster board
Bet they screwed into metal anchors they sunk in first. Unless those are literally just woodscrews going into drywall lmao.
You are giving this photo a lot more credit than I would.
Those are wood screws into gyprock. That bracket is just stamped sheet steel.
This is to stop your bed from flying away when you read books
No that doesnāt fix it! Shove a pillow in the gap⦠I mean, uh nothing to see here.
Iām gonna shove something in your gap but it aināt a pillow
And they say romance is dead.
A friend of mine was showing me his newly acquired box-bed. I dont know how to describe it, but it has a big space in the center to store things and a movable wooden deck.
So, he opens it and the deck was all slided to one side and he says āidk why it keeps slidingā with his wife on my back.
I suggested him to ad some friction to it
Not all walls can remain upright by themselves and some need the assistance of a sturdy bed to continue doing their job. Truly an honorable bed.
Iāve seen the exorcist. I know.
The people sleeping are moving too much during their sleep. Itās to prevent the frame from breaking.
Prefect. Now when I leap into bed from a sprint from the hallway it wonāt skid halfway across the room anymore.
Oh sweet summer child. The innocent ones ARE the ones who have these installed.
All wrong answers.
This is a top bunk bed that is two beds stacked on top of each other held in place with metal pegs. This prevents unauthorized users from taking the beds and placing them side-by-side.
They live in a part of town that has a bed shortage and this stops their bed from being stolen
Itās nothing naughty, it just makes it way easier to restrain your subjects for testing.
Bed frames in college were squeaky. I found a little bit of olive oil took care of it.
Or you can do this and find out how squeaky the house frame is!
Force equals mass times acceleration, so if youāre shaking the whole houseā¦

There are SO many awful jokes on Lemmy. I really want to know who the average user actually is. Sometimes I think itās boomers, sometimes it sounds like 15 year olds who havenāt had sex yet.
