  Extremely unlikely they used the literal same code unless it was from a template or asset pack.

  That’s also probably intentional because people tend to like the familiar ‘tropes’ and if you go out of your way to do it in a weird way, that design may be burned at the stake in the reviews/feedback.

  Having come from Morrowind, I didn’t realize Oblivion had a fast travel system until WAY later in the game. I felt totally dumb for having missed that somehow.

  On the plus side, my athletics level became alarmingly high.

  I think its unfortunate because there’s a lot of games that fall into that next ~15-25% that are decently good games (though sometimes flawed) but won’t make enough to let the developers survive a second game.

  That being said I don’t think there is a particularly easy solution, and to Valve’s credit, they have tried unique approaches to combat this, but it’s still a problem.

  Hmm… I know a certain grocery store chain that got acquired by a bigger store a few years back, that’s located in the Midwest, and has been having a significant issue with leaving expired items on the shelves…

  But no I don’t think its normal. Its very likely margins getting thinner because everything and management or the owners trying to keep the numbers looking good.

  I semi-agree only in that those are some of the worst party games.

  Usually when someone says they don’t like boardgames, its because they’ve only ever played Monopoly , Scrabble, or Sorry which are kind of terrible to play. It seems like she falls into this category.

  I’m no expert but as I recall, when a cartridge is fired, the casing is going to try and expand due to the pressure as it fires.

  A circle design is the most resistant to case expansion. I think any other shape will have weak points which will lead to misfires.

  That and aerodynamics as (just about) any other shape likely drift out of control and negatively impact ballistics.

  As I recall, its based on traditional burial methods. Vampires are considered undead and would rise again, so any method to stop them from rising and feeding was the goal. This also included decapitation, staking them to the ground, burning them, etc.

  I think the only advantage these big bore single shot pistols have is that they’re relatively cheap compared to a revolver.

  They supposedly just canceled Avowed 2, which would have been about a year in development, to get the ball rolling on this.

  Microsoft has a history of corporate meddling (if 343’s devs experiences are accurate) but you are right, they can’t really afford to mess this one up, so I’d hope they let the talent do their thing and make a great game.

  When you buy Minecraft, it associates a game license to your Microsoft ID. So when you sign in to the launcher, the DRM server is what it checks with to make sure you own and can play Minecraft before letting you in.

  I’m actually going assume they (ESA) meant the Minecraft DRM servers and not the hosting and playing with friends servers, because they refer to ‘counterfeiting and piracy’ lawsuits right afterwards. I mean its easy to say they don’t know the difference but I’d suspect this was a little more malicious.

  The article brings it up too, but I suspect this actually means streaming games. I can see it sort of making sense where you already own a digital library and via some subscription, can stream those games to specific devices.

  As I recall, viewers typically go down as the show goes on. If its got a bad viewership, there’s not a great reason to keep pumping money into it when you can put that money into something new that might do much better.
