Depends on the country. Eastern countries like China,Russia, and South East Asia, hell ya. They fake like you hit them, they’ll run into you parked and fall over, they’ll fall on corners and you help them up they’ll sue you for hurting them. There’s tons of videos on YouTube, and I lived in China for about 10 years. At first I was like WTF why won’t anyone help that old lady? My friend is like “bro, no” and explained it. Over 10 years I saw it like weekly.
West not as much. It does happen though. There are laws to protect the person helping as well. If it ever went to a trial it’s pretty obvious you pulled up to help and didn’t do anything crazy besides maybe a tourniquet, CPR, and or called 911.

My problem with eBay is the return policy (as a seller). Depending on what you’re trying to sell you can get seriously screwed. Sell a $1,000+ laptop you sold being 100% honest, they have it for 28 days and their kid dumps a glass of milk on the keyboard and now it’s returned as “not as described”. So you’re out $1,000 and a broken laptop and maybe a negative review for doing nothing.
They need to make the return window like 5 days or something. If you don’t know it is 'as described" 5 days after receiving it then it’s yours. I get maybe 14 days for collector items, to get them verified or something. But yeah, electronics and such, no way.

If this is China, it’s an antibiotic. Everything is fixed with an antibiotic, sprained ankle, fractured wrist, migraine, ect. At least they do surgery if you need it, as long as you tip the doctor first so you don’t die.

I had something similar. I was in this “eat healther class” and the person kept going on and on about how healthy China eats. So finally I’m like, yeah I lived there for almost a decade before coming back to America. It isn’t anything like you’re describing, so much shit is deep fried, re-served to the next customer, or dyed to look fresh when it’s not. Most foreigners get very sick the first few weeks in country because of the lack of enforced food regulations, like using “gutter oil” to save money. Yes, it’s exactly how it sounds, they skim off the floating oil in trash and sewers to reuse it, especially in street food to save money.
But I’m wrong, because she has TicTok and had never met anyone who lived there.

That’s by design. It’s the same reason you aren’t required to take Statistics in high school. If people knew the actual odds of winning the lottery they wouldn’t play. Since the poorest Americans and typically only high school graduates play the lottery religiously it make sense.
I don’t think it’s just not knowing their rights and such. It also needs to get worse before it gets better. Ever maybe change in government across history wasn’t done with protests or signing petitions. It was done with a physical revolution. Until we got that point it will be the same shit.

Ok, schoolsc are typically some variation of 8-3, which is 7 hours. I have no idea where you’re getting 12 hours from other than some crazy extreme outlier.
During that 7 hours, you think they just sit in a room, and get handed shit after shit? That’s not even close to reality. That “massive” 7 hours is about 4 hours broken up into 45-1 hour increments after you have lunch/recess for an hour, a second or third recess that’s 30-1 hour, art class, music class, gym, ect.
Beyond that, I have no idea how you think they should learn anything without sitting and practicing. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but when a lot of states went to in hime learning during covid, the kids did fucking horrible.
You don’t want 25 kids in a class with 3 teachers? Pay more taxes to hire more people to be in the class. You don’t want higher taxes? Well your math doesn’t math. If you think teachers only work between their contract hours, you’re on fucking crack. All that decorative shit in their room? That’s out of pocket not reimbursed shit they bought. All the little snacks your kid gets is out of pocket, not reimbursed. Most teachers skip their lunch and they don’t get a penny of overtime.
How would you feel if you had to buy nearly everything at you job you used, turn had to work 50 hours a week to get your job done right to be paid for 40 hours. Getting paid on breaks? Yeah, you’re paying yourself. Every check has an amount withheld so you can pay yourself over breaks, holidays, and summer. It’s not “free money” you’re paid.
Then you have parents like yourself that have zero clue how anything works, how to even deal with working in a class with 25 kids. But somehow you have all the answers and are an expert? Sure, whatever you say.
