I need to be writing up my assessments because on Monday weâre moving onto the next unit, but the due date isnât until the end of the month so itâs feeling difficult to get started
Iâve done half of one, havenât started the other 2. Apparently we didnât have enough time to do the first of the roleplays, so the trainer said to just submit it with a blank file and sheâll mark us competent based on how we interacted in the class

I am SO cheesed off with airlines only offering PayID as a fee free method of payment - itâs fucked because some banks will always place a temporary hold on payments to new payees - and then the booking gets cancelled! Fuck sake! And then you have to be out of pocket TWICE to try and pay again, meanwhile you have the initial payment floating around god knows where and no guarantee of when it will be returned. So fucking stressed out.

I thought it might be kind of upsetting, because I sometimes find family type tv shows. Often feels kind of like a depressing reminder of what I donât/wonât have. Iâve sometimes even found things like the Simpsons saddening.
But I just tried to stay out of my head and not give it much thought, and it seemed to work. Also managed to make the very last bus home of the night which is nice, otherwise I wouldâve been walking 30 minutes back from the next one!

Had some really nice heartwarming moments today from parents who gave me lots of encouragements about Geelong on their match last night.
I wear my team scarf and beanie almost everyday and they know much it meant to me when I showed up super happy.
I know itâs not for everyone but itâs one of simple things that makes me happy. I hope we can go all the way this year.

Despite having needle like claws Miss Meow is not very good at sewing. She keeps trying to help, which mostly involves sitting on any fabric I am working with, throwing cotton onto the floor and trying to walk on the sewing machine while I am using it.

Theyâve finally installed the new locks into the doors. Typical bad news: no deadbolts. Not even a proper lock. It has the same locks as on my toilet door, except rather than being openable with a butter knife, theyâre openable with a key.
To make up for the lack of a deadbolt, theyâre installing these fugly looking metal plates outside the locks. Theyâre going to jutt out from the wall outside the door, with the goal being that you canât open it up with a bank card. Doesnât help too much when they purchased the cheapest doors Bunnings sell, and also the flimsiest looking locks Iâve ever seen.
They canât even be locked from the outside. When I want to lock my door, I have to push the little nub button inside and pull the door closed.
Thereâs more bad news: they knocked back my request to have these style of locks fitted on the bathroom door because apparently my bathroom qualifies as âa shared zoneâ. I asked what he meant by that because my bathroom is just for me, and is not shared with anybody else. He said he was told there will be âa couple of new kids moving in shortlyâ. Thatâs not good, because the house is a 2 kid property. Thatâs why we each have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom/toilet each. If what Mr. Locksmith says is true, Iâm going to be kicked out of my spare bedroom and probably have to share my bathroom and toilet.
I hope heâs just misinformed. Thatâs a bad omen if true

Iâve decided to go another course of antibiotics while we sort the cat specialist, so I get to wrestle Melbcat and feed her gross banana flavoured liquid for another 10 days! đ Some keeps ending up on her fur so I think I will be buying a bib.
The specialist I saw seemed ok, not sure if heâll be able to help but was at least respectful and willing to listen.
The faintly scented home brand soap I bought is a bit drying on my hands but otherwise hasnât caused immediate issues? Thatâs not to say it wonât. But if it works out I have a backup soap for any supply shortages of the unscented bars.
If it doesnât I guess it gets donated to the food pantry minus that bar or turned into laundry soap.

I have signed up to do a physical activity study. I donât know whether Iâm hoping to be in the activity group where I have to use a fitness tracker and app for 6 months or the control group, where I get to make no changes but feel no guilt because it is âfor scienceâ and not laziness đ¤Ł
It did inspire me to work out how to fix my scales that somehow got changed to pounds instead of kg. Now I just need to work out how to fix the thermometer that changed to Farenheit when I replaced the battery and Iâll have pulled my bathroom out of the weird American vortex it got sucked into.

I have been researching online to find options to bind a book I am making. I have decided a combination of bamboo skewers, string and a stick of some type will be utilized. Eye primer report: Nude by Nature was a big let down. Not even 2 hrs and already oily and creased. The application had a very silicone feel so I was already skeptical.
The Barry M Lid Lock seems to be performing well. 5 hrs last night with the tiniest hint of creasing, but only if you really nitpicked and didnât look oily or ready to really crease. That was an evening wear.
I am into almost 5 hrs of day wear and it seems to be holding up similarly.
Iâm not crazy oily, but enough that eyeshadow without primer or even with foundation powder base would oil up in a couple of hours. This is why Urban Decay is so good. I used to be a little hit and miss with it when I realised that I wasnât applying enough. Even if itâs anecdotal, the fact that my eyeshadow lasted all day in 30+ degrees in Cambodia with humidity while my face oil/sweat did its worst is a real testament to how good it is (on me anyway).
UD is just stupid pricey and I think the formula has changed like some people have mentioned, it seems to dry out and cake a lot faster in the tube. Sad.

Good news! Elder Minipeeler got accepted into the school we applied for! I started crying with gratitude on the phone, and when I went back into the kitchen I burst out into this huge sobbing like I rarely have before, that wracked my whole body, and everyone was most alarmed by me sobbing and smiling. I didnât realise how much tension I was holding in my body until it all came rushing out, and now after a hard dayâs work Iâm utterly exhausted!
