I’m concerned about the infection control risk associated with people wearing medical scrubs outside of work. To me it seems unprofessional.

I’ve seen it happen on many occasions at several different shopping centres: Northland, Highpoint, Airport West and Broadmeadows.

The one that got to me over the weekend was the number of staff from cafes in shopping centres leaving toilet cubicles still wearing an apron! Take it off before you go to the toilet FFS!

I’ve only seen bits of it, but it struck me as fairly intense and compelling. I read that Margaret Atwood herself liked the series, so that’s a pretty good endorsement.

A late night and early morning reading The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. I recently re-read The Handmaid’s Tale because I’d read it for uni decades ago and forgotten a lot of it, and was interested enough to read the sequel. Thoroughly enjoyed both books.

True, and I guess at some point it became important for museums to generate an income, so a lot of displays are “interactive” (push a button, funky lighting) and aimed towards attracting little kids.
On another subject, I thought at some point today, I miss how rich people used to be (was probably looking at the Coles Book Arcade display). As in, for example, “I’m rich and I believe all people should get to enjoy art,” “I’m rich and I believe all people should have access to books/botanical gardens/museums etc.” Now all rich people seem to want to do is build pen!s rockets and collect politicians.

Went to the museum. The kids wanted to go but I’m not really into it anymore. The “new” museum doesn’t really do it for me the way the old one did. I like the history of Melbourne display, pharlap and the outside forest bit but to me it’s just a cavernous space with convention centre vibes.

Got told by the boss yesterday that he’s cutting everyone’s hours. That’ll leave me with an even less barely liveable income.

I tried it so you don’t have to #1: Against my better judgement I bought the Betty Crocker violet crumble brownie mix to try. It barely made enough mixture to cover the cake tin size it said to use and made the flattest most lame arse brownie that disgraced my shabby kitchen with it’s pancake presence. The kids said it was… ok, tasty enough but we’ve definitely made better. One star, do not bother with this waste of money.

To me finding a stranger in the house is hugely concerning! How is he getting in? I mean, is the door locked? Definitely the police should be involved! If this kid has a carer then they need to know he’s wandering too.

Sounds like an obnoxious dick who will pretend he was only trying to be funny if confronted. Is he doing this to other people or just you?

I’ve been holding off the cold Miniest had last week. Have felt like I’m swallowing broken glass Friday night and yesterday. I’ve been resting and dosing up on herbal flu relief sachets in the hope that I can get right by Monday for work. I think I may just get there 🤞🏼

Wise decision. I mean, I’ve had times in my life, when I was really rock bottom depressed for example, and I let the housework go shamefully. But I would always take action on insects and rodents and prevent infestation, no matter how I had to drag myself around to do it. And I would never have people in the house to see my shame or expect someone to stay there and deal with it. That’s just awful. How can they not be ashamed?

I’m still peeved about the BBQ shapes. They did the “new improved flavour!” thing and everyone complained vigorously, so they made a public thing about changing it back. Then down the track when the fuss had died down they quietly did it anyway and stealthily turned them to shit. They were a special snack that 3 generations of my family enjoyed before they stuffed them up. I’ve never bought them again, cheap arse bastards tinkering with classics can get bent.
