Aussie sarcasm and shit talking for the fun of it, is second to none.
Brits do it in a condescending way, but Aussies do it more egalitarian. None one is safe, and everyone can be made fun off.
Canadian sarcasm is not far off just more polite.
American sarcasm is reserved for those who can think…so not enough.

As weird as it may sound, Aussie culture is closer to British and American culture, than Canadian culture is to both those.
Canada shook away it’s British roots quite a bit (wtf is cricket anyway) and tried to distance itself culturally from America due to proximity.
However Canadian humour and Aussie humour is very different, but appealing to each other.

Whistler is the Gold Coast of Canada.
Holidays for some locals and many foreigners, not looked down upon, but not really celebrated
If you want to know about Canada, ask away. Apart from recent stuff, cause I’ve lived here for two decades now.

The game was closer than I’d liked, and to be fair, the US team is absolutely stacked. Next Olympics are going to be fun as heck.

It was kind of like an all-star tournament with USA, Canada, Finland and Sweden sending their best. It’s been a long time since professional hockey players competed in the Olympics, so this was a bit of a trial run before the next winter games.

For those who care, Canada beat the USA in the 4 Nations hockey tournament, in overtime.
A great day for Canada, therefore the entire the Commonwealth and largely the world.

If you’re in early how are you 5 minutes late?
Or do you have an early start that you happened to be 5 minutes later for?
Please clarify, brain not braining yet.

My house has 3 pokestops nearby and a gym. If I feel like walking 3 minutes, 4 more stops and 2 more gyms.
I feel blessed.

We recently had to do this as part of a campaign. First thing I would say to the person on the other side ‘If you’re not comfortable confirming this, please email the address provided with the correspondence’.
I completed all my calls in about 15 minutes and fobbed the work onto the team that was monitoring the inbox.
Such a stupid way of doing things

You win by not participating. That way you’re never done.
In reality just seems that my team left and are nowhere to be found.

Now that it’s after lunch, it would appear everyone had fucked off for the day.
I might join them.

Sitting in a new area at work and people are super friendly.
My usual grumpy self is suffering silently but somehow enjoying this.

Congratulations!! I’m waiting for my offer shortly as well. Referees did their bit yesterday.

Instead of shaking people’s hands, I’ll dap them up and dab right after.
That ought to raise my respect levels.

I recall seeing a video some time ago, where a UK journalist/presenter (with a bit of a posh accent) was fawning over the fact that instead of going out for lunch during work, one could pre-purchase ingredients such as bread, meats and cheese, and combine them at home and bring this into work.
Discovering sandwiches in your 30’s is truly something.

You’re only as old as you think.
I feel older but think younger generally.

I’ll have a few months to suss things out and hopefully fall into a nice groove.
The new dept seems to be on the younger side, which is fine. I can deal with younger than older, enteenched

Reference and police checks are underway for the new role. All goes well should have an offer shortly.
Excited, cause it’s something new. Nervous cause it’s something new. Anxious, cause I really don’t want to meet new people.

Quite nice. Has a country town feel, but large enough to be it’s own thing.
It gets coooold in the winter though. Like significantly colder than Melbourne metro.
Recent years it’s become slightly hipsterised (more younger people moving there) which is great.
Closer to the city than Bendigo, and more chilled out than Geelong (IMO)

Starting a new temporary role at work today for a few weeks and half of the team is out sick.
I’m meant to be involved in some meetings, but looks like I’m leading them now.
Gonna be fun!!

Otherwise, we can protect him too.
