Solid dinner tonight, randomly ran into relatives we haven’t seen in over 10 years.
I teared up a bit. My kids met some cousins first time today. Straight away added each other on social media. Verdict so far is they’re chill.
Can’t ask for much more.

Couple of aussie whiskeys. Coastal Stone (blended) for under $40. And another that I can’t recall now. Also an aussie Agave alcohol…which could be tequila and a Mezcal that was like $45.
Think we spent like $170 on 4 bottles. They’ll last for some time too.

Had one try to cut in line at Woolies once saying ‘It will only be a moment’, i just said ‘No, you’ll wait your turn like everyone else’ and just ignored them after.
If they’re blocking an aisle with a trolley, the trolley gets moved.

Bunch of oldies from the area were out strolling today through our court (it connects to the parklands behind our house). A group of them decided to walk down the street, despite there being a footpath. Fine whatever.
I was driving back from the shops not in a hurry, so let it go.
Then they decide to stop and have a chinwag at my driveway. I gave them a beep beep, they ignored me. So I pressed the horn pretty hard.
One of the old chaps walked to my car and told me I’m being a bit rude, I told him not to block driveways. He started carrying on so I just held the horn until he waddled off.
They don’t live on our court, so I’m not fussed, but fuck me, where is the decency.

I played Shadows for a bit, but gave up. Too big and too repetitive. I think I’m done with AC. Odyssey, Valhalla and this have been very meh. Mirage was okay, but not great.
Reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and loving it. Also reading some Mario Puzo books (non godfather ones).
Watching - For all Mankind, Hacks, Spider Noir, The Shield…all on and off…not really binging any of it.

I have worked in food production for about 10 years.
When it comes to produce, the best stuff gets shipped to China for a fucking premium.
Then other places.
We get fifth best a lot of the time.
Apples especially. I had some top grade apples, Galas, that were going to Japan.
It’s a different fruit.

Growing up in Canada (and working in produce at a grocery store) we would get galas from NZ for half the year.
I’ve had NZ Galas here and the quality is crap compared to back home.
We get shafted with fresh produce here so badly. The good shit gets exported.
