Same with text messages.
Sometimes I respond straight away and I get nothing back, even knowing that they are glued to their phones or have an Apple Watch on their wrist all the time.
Annoys me to no end that I’ve given my time for someone and they can’t be bothered to even say a thanks.
Scatterbrained isn’t what I’d call it, I’d call it deliberate.

Bit down today, trying to keep myself motivated but it’s a little hard at times when you’ve been given news that things might not be ok with someone’s health.
It’s all up to possibilities and anything could happen moving forward, I really hope that it turns out ok and things can return to normal but it’s outside of my control which is frustrating because you can’t do anything about it to change the outcome.

Never seen one of those before. Are they fluffy like a croissant or more muffin like on the inside?

I sort of go through phases with food at times. I’ve been big into chicken schnitzel and veggies and gravy the last few weeks.
I was looking up a sauce recipe for hokkien noodles yesterday and just thought thought why not? And tossed everything in adhoc.
If I had planned it better I would have had some onions added to it and green onions.
I’d definitely go today for your stuff, tomorrow is going to be a lot hotter forecasted to be 33.
Is there a trick with stir fry? I didn’t have the heat on very high or anything. Just enough to cook the eggs and warm everything up without searing it.
This is what it looked like yesterday
Noodle stir fry.
Oh that’s awesome that you’re ducking out tomorrow to spend some time with a friend. I’m sure you’re going to have a great time out.
I think you need more iced chocolate tomorrow, is Severence any good? I’ve been binging movies nonstop for the last week, almost thought about watching Silo but I think I’ll do Shogun.
A zero obligation day needs to happen more often! I think you need to pencil in a few more of those when you go out to the market and then duck into a cafe to relax for a little.

Ah someone recommended that place to me. I haven’t tried it yet though because it ships from Sydney I think.

I’m probably going to make stir fry noodles tonight with the massive amount of eggs and ham I have left here with hokkien noodles that I bought from aldi as a test.
I haven’t done stir fry in ages apart from yesterday when I got inspired.
How are you spending this Saturday afternoon and evening and are you doing a stir fry as well?
I’ve got the tennis on as Alex de Minaur is playing at 2pm.

Washing done, toasted cheese and ham linch done, aircon on! Stovetop coffee done!
I’m all ready for a Saturday!

- Comment on Nintendo Switch 2 finally officially revealed 3 days ago:
I’m hoping that with the Ring Fit, to get around that restriction we can just pair the Switch 1 joycons to the Switch 2 console and use them detached.
In theory that might still work.

So much to look forward to!

I would be surprised as the data does point to a massive gap between the sales of the 2 units.
As of September 30, 2024 146.04 million Nintendo Switch units have been sold.
The number of sales for the steam deck seem to be a little bit vague, it’s probably at 3 million or maybe 4?
I also believe it was only released here in Australia officially 2 months ago and only available in key countries.
The average person isn’t really looking at a Steam Deck if you ask me, it’s more of a niche product.
But they can both exist and cater to their respective audiences and demographics.

That sucks. Were you allowed to defend yourself to refute those claims?
Anyway it doesn’t sound like it’ll be a good place for you to stay from the sounds of things even if you could get a raise.

Just winging today with some slight inspiration.
Quickly whipped up a stir fry with mixed up various sauces and whatever I had on hand.
I hope it tastes ok.
noodles!

You’ll find from this report that the demographic for switch users are pretty large over the 20-25 year olds in the beginning of 2023.
start.io/…/nintendo-target-market-segmentation-ma….
It’s got a pretty universal appeal which I think it’s one of its strengths.
The question is is Switch 2 going to be a proper successor or just a slight upgrade.
The Wii to Wii U transition didn’t go as well so I don’t it doesn’t happen here as well.
- Comment on Daily Discussion Thread: 🍝🍟🌭 Friday, 17 January, 2025 3 days ago:
Also of note Switch 2 won’t really have any competition.
I don’t consider the steam deck or anything else coming out to actually catch the attention of everyday people because they’re too obscure to people who aren’t deep into their tech and also pricing is a lot higher.
Ask a kid about Switch and they’ll know what it is and most likely have played one. They wouldn’t have any knowledge of any other portable console.

Yeah. Disappointed that I won’t be able to use my skyward sword joycons and have to totally kit out a new switch again though.
I love my switch and being able to use it as a handheld when away from home or if I want to use my tv for something else.
I’ll be looking to see the price of it, I think it could go for 600 or 700.
I’m curious about a few details like if it’ll improve the performance of some of the games already out.

Oh god. I think I was briefly exposed to channel 9 the other day. Those ads are in sufferable.
Ok channel 7 at the moment but it’s an ugly watch. The Aussie women are facing an early batting collapse.
4/59 - 14.3 overs.

Ducked out quickly to pick up some stuff and refresh my good stocks early this morning.
I saw a lot of people lining up at Toy World before it opened this morning. I wonder what they were lining for?
Certainly has my curiosity up.

So for me my entire book collection is fantasy with a little bit of sci fi and I’m big into interactive sci fi and fantasy experiences (games).
Basically it allows me to experience something that doesn’t exist and also delve into themes and ideas that might seem a little out there and I get fully immersed in those make believe worlds.
It allows me to be part of something that I’ll never be able to be part of in real life as well.
I also take it as it is and don’t question much as I get invested into those worlds, such as magic.
I also have a great love for those things so that also helps me get into them more.
