last distro I deployed was Mint and I was super impressed till I did an update that stuffed the distro. Panicked each time it tried to boot. Windows may shit me, but I know how to fix it.

if this f’ing laptop goes to sleep on more time I’m installing Mint and you can hold me to that. Only thing I can see in is maybe a “hibernate after 180 minutes” cause its sure as shit not set to sleep otherwise.
Hell, 11 has been installing an update for the past 20 minutes and its only at 4%. I may just install linux anyway.

Its so nice giving up on keeping up to date with this shit. You should give it a go! I miss the daily show, but beyond that there is really no upside in being involved in foreign politics unless your playing the stock market or investing.

I’m back. Spent Friday in hospital with some pretty sketch vitals but they gave me an IV and I appear to be alive again. Viral meningitis is the leading theory, we couldn’t actually diagnose it and given I’m no longer looking like the reapers next target no one is all that stressed any more.

a stocked app store woulda helped. I worked with a guy who had a phone 8 and we had to order him ubers to go see clients cause they didnt have the app.
Microsoft should have paid whatever the f it cost to get some key apps! Cant believe the squandered the lead in that and the xbox 360 so poorly.

made the jump 3 years back. iOS absolutely shits me some times, but the integration is second to none. I have a lot less “unexplainable random bugs” that require a reset than I ever did on samsung too. On a galaxy I was rebooting the device ever week or few days. Iphone its more like weeks or months.

this headache is just about approaching “bail from work” levels, but I have a psych appointment after work so I cant go home to come back in. And there is a not 0 change the headache is due to stress so its pretty necessary.

sued for libel/damages for her accusations?
Yes!
Has she committed a crime here?
Thats for a court to decide
Should she get some sort of penalty for making false accusations?
In my opinion ABSOLUTELY! you can run about destroying peoples lives and get away with it. Illness or not.
Or should she get off scot free because she’s mentally ill and presumably not in full control of her actions?
Fuck no! I’m deeply sorry for her troubles, but those people shouldn’t suffer due to false accusations. its not about her suffering, its about the victims being about to point to a court verdict and say “I am not, nor was I EVER a child abuser”.

This might be a controversial take here: and let me say first up I think the dude deserves a posthumous award or statue or something for his bravery in standing up to tyranny.
But: this dude went over to Ukraine to fight a war. He was there to kill Russians, of course he should have been protected as a POW, BUT Its a bit fuckin late to start caring about treatment of POWs just suddenly because they killed one of ours. Where the hell was our backbone when they were killing Ukrainian civilians? or shelling near one of Europe’s largest nuclear power plants? How about the illegal invasion and occupation of Ukraine in general?!
The Russian embassy should’ve been closed years ago. Jesus Christ Australia, grow a spine!

I am a strong strong proponent. Either we take this shit seriously, get these people proper help! OR we stop pretending to care and fit the trains with a blender attachment on the front. I was stuck on one for 45 minutes once 10m short of the station. We FINALLY arrive at the station, only to have to wait another 20 minutes cause the person got BACK on the tracks!
