Yep that’s the way I do it! then bounce around the bits I’m inspired to write. This one is hard because I thought it was done and then the client suggested a reasonably big structural change. I agree with them but in my head I was at the finish line :-. But I have coffee, snacks, oodie and cat visitor curled up on the desk…lets go!

Got the stressies today. Need to get some writing done for a project. Need to nick out and buy some food I forgot yesterday. Need to do some meal prep and washing. Lying in oodie stressing. Why are brains like this???
Ok. Shower. Coffee. Round up and put washing on. Stand in kitchen thinking while I have coffee. Nick to shops. Quick walk along beach or just sit in sun. Home. More coffee and quick snack. Computer time for the afternoon. No naps. I repeat no naps.

Aldi merino undershirts and singlets purchased to replace the ones dying. I usually wear bamboo/lyocell but they take ages to dry. The ski sale had merino cheaper then I pay for bamboo so I am gonna give them a crack

I’ve been using mynoise.net a lot lately when I need to concentrate or when I am in an open plan office. I usually just put on some instrumental music but lately I’ve been needing something totally ambient and this has lots of options and seems to be legit non-ai. Just sharing

Unfortunately I dreamt I had to speak at an event about trains hosted by Robin Williams and I lost my notes and forgot my words and everyone got up and left and Robin Williams and my boss from 20years ago were very disappointed in me. Went to the movies with a mate to see devil wears prada 2 to use up a voucher they had. It was surprisingly fun movie and we caught the train home from one of the new stations. They are pretty cool.

I just watched the final 90 min long good omens final (S1 was a version of the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett book, S2 was a beloved extension, S3 was canned when NG was plausibly accused of being a total creep.). S3 got saved as a 90m one episode without NG. Without spoilers I loved it. It felt like the PTerry estate was quite involved because it was funny and sweet. There was a nice nod to Terry Pratchett in one scene that had me in tears.
Went to Reddit after…oh boy…some fandoms are…not great…it’s kinda sad when people get so involved in stuff they need it to be a certain way to validate themselves or something?? I forget because I am so selective in what I engage with.
Anyway just needed somewhere nice to think my thougts

Holy crap. Oil in the wok was a bit too hot/water content in food a bit to high and oil splattered onto the gas burner - whoosh. got it stopped but not before it made a mess of the range hood. Holy crap that was close. Gonna need a new rangehood (from whom does one even buy a rangehood?). Excuse me while I go freak out in the corner for a bit

Not much to add to the other advice except that if she can have full medical attention and at least some food into her some of the anxiety and other issues might reduce. I have seen that happen with my ex-gradma in law. Refused everything, couldn’t manage meds, told her daughter the most awful things when she was moved to a home, but she thrived there. Might not help, but it’s pretty awful now plus you are trying to just keep her alive. Get the professionals in so you can be there in other ways.
