Based on your reviews, I bet there’ll be some interesting finds for op shop book lovers!

Was windy but I was expecting worse based on the warnings.

Interesting. I’ve always felt the opposite. Peace and quiet is winning. Constantly fighting means loosing.

The radar map is different. Nooo I liked the old one.

I don’t know what time the wind is due, but I’ve put my most vulnerable pot plants into a more sheltered location. There a few houses with Halloween decorations around here, we might see some stray blow up pumpkins floating around the streets tomorrow! Also thought and prayers to anyone who has bin night.

I don’t play favourites. All forms of potato have their time and place.

WTF. I’m so sorry. This is terrifying. There’s no way to know how a violent person might react if you tried to intervene, he could escalate the violence. The fight/flight/freeze primitive brain is usually very good at making the right choice, otherwise we would have died out as a species. I think mental institutions are not always a bad thing. Nobody benefits from this guy being on the street. Not him, not his victims, not the police, not the bystanders. There must be a better way.

Woke up way too early this morning after a bad nights sleep. Wave of drowsiness has just hit. Today will need several coffees.

First hot day is always a shock to the system. Today is glorious outside though.

I feel your pain. I’ve been unlucky enough to be close to construction or roadworks a few times. It’s awful because it can go for months. You can try earplugs but they don’t always block out enough. Try sleep in a different room that’s furtherst from the source of the noise. Unfortunately nothing can be done to escape the vibration. Horrid. Hopefully the road crew can finish on time and it doesn’t go longer than the 2.5 weeks.

I miss simple games. There used to be lots of little basic games with endless levels without a million ads, bouncing pop ups every turn, endless in game purchase etc. I just want something calming I can play for 15min while I have my coffee. There’s a gap in the market. I guess it must be unprofitable.

Like Seagoon said, earplugs for sleep, and maybe some white noise to drown it out too. Loop earplugs are great for sleeping, they are made of soft silicone.

Well done of the walk. Small wins are big wins.

Cheese and avocado toastie, small bit of left over chicken, and couple of baby cucumbers on the side. Followed by punnet of raspberries.

I wish they’d tidy it a bit. It’s a nightmare to find stuff and there’s never anyone to ask. Website will say somethings I stock but good luck finding it. It’s probably shoved somewhere randomly with different colour/size/description items.

Had some overripe bananas, they are now in the oven baking into banana loaf. Dessert will be a warm slice with ice cream.

If I don’t know better due to previous visits, I’d swear Spotlight was just ransacked by a troupe of rampaging baboons. The place is a permanent mess no matter what day or time it is.

Sounds promising. Oxalis is seasonal though, it starts dying about now and comes back in autumn. Will need an update in 6 months time. I saw in the Aldi catalogue there’s a weed killer heat gun on sale soon. Am tempted to get it to try as a chemical free alternative.

I haven’t read it. But I agree Megan seems like a narcissist. Of course marring into the royal family means there will be many occasions where protocol must be followed. That’s the job. To pretend she didn’t know and was shocked is not believable to me. Harry was in love, and had his own long brewing grievances, so made the choice to leave. And that’s fine for him, if that’s what he needed to do. But I feel sorry for the kids, who are growing up with zero contact with their heritage. Parents have threw a hissy fit, and taken away their kids down with them. I wonder how they will feel about it as adults.
