I just saw some gameplay from The Duskbloods playtest. What’s the state of Switch 2 emulation right now?
Otherwise, I’m going to have to start streaming so I can claim one as a business expense

Ooof, I’m sorry to hear that. My switch to Linux has made me realise how much of a non power user I am in the grand scheme of things

Had to drive to Armadale for a trivia event last night. That’s where the benefit of adaptive cruise control really shines. It makes annoying shit like driving down Bourne Rd so much easier, you just turn it on and let it guide you through

It also makes cars a privacy nightmare, just like TVs. I’d like a TV that’s nothing more than a good screen of that size but no one does that anymore. Both cars and TVs have to track you as much as possible these days

I’ll have a look. I looked at mods and programs that change the order of input devices but being on Linux probably just adds layers of complications there

On further Linux talk, GF has been using the restored laptop to watch YouTube whilst sorting through pokemon cards, and that’s a great use of the computer.
No loading other bullshit or getting bogged down by a bullshit OS. It just boots and plays videos

Loaded up the windows drive (ew) to use creative cloud (ew). Made the most of it and played some Sekiro and Elden Ring with the new Steam Controller.
Unfortunately Sekiro doesn’t want to detect any controllers other than mouse and keyboard on Linux, and Elden Ring runs like area on there. I could probably smooth it out with some tinkering but why bother when other games just work

I decided that fancy stuff doesn’t matter. You’ll set it up once and never touch it again. I just wanted to know how the cruise control worked

A bit of extra movement is nice. It would be good to just have running if you see something cool

The DJI Osmo Action Pro 5. Saw there was a bit of a deal on it and decided to just get one. I’m starting to get more photography gear so I’ll be set once i can connect it to my tripods.
My dumb short term idea is to use phone clamps since it has a front facing screen

New action camera arrived today too. Once I get some accessories I could use it as a B-cam with the Pocket. Set it up somewhere for b-roll and timelapses whilst doing actual shooting with the Pocket.
I just need actual clients now to justify everything

BYD Sealion 5. It’s a very practical purchase. Nothing too exciting. Although I will enjoy the adaptive cruise control and driving to and from work all on battery

#newcarday Let’s just say I’ll be whispering all my state secrets into this car so I can get an elevated position after the soft power takeover

That’s a really interesting way to do an interview. Aside from how long it takes it’s probably a good way to do things

Could that be a Jollibee thing, or one of the other Filipino restaurants? I heard Filipinos like to do spaghetti with everything

I get it. Those moments where you’re like, “Ugh, I wanna be on my phone but I’ve gotta Chop And Eat As I Go”

I get that and I’m a bit like that myself. It was all made to go together so it might as well be enjoyed that way

By the sound of it, it’s everything. Your average American might sit down to a parma and chips and cut it all up into little strips first, then discard the knife and just eat with the fork

This was a point raised as well, especially for something like steak. You want it hot and to hold as much juice as possible

That was the joke the other host that’s Canadian made. He said “I never do that, oh wait, yes I do, when I’m cutting up food for my child.” They had a guest on this week who said she cuts all her food up at once as well.

Something has come up on the Guys podcast again that I still can’t believe is a thing:
Do you use the Cut Up method or Chop And Eat As You Go when eating food?
Apparently this causes a bit of culture shock amongst Americans, who like to cut all their food up at once then just eat it with a fork. Whereas Chop And Eat As You Go (as described by the OP they were reading from) is some weird European way of eating.

I come in today and there are suddenly windows on the doors to the kitchen. They’re massive fire doors that were just solid slabs and we’ve had a bunch of close calls from people coming and going through them. Now, suddenly on a Wednesday, we have windows so you can see if someone is coming

I’ve had thoughts about ways to grow the business. I feel like one issue is I have an empty Instagram account. I didn’t see the point in making all this content about marketing because it won’t be seen by anyone.
Instead, I go out and shoot the sorts of videos I’d make for clients, publish them on my Instagram account, and tag them as a collaborator. It’s a free sample for them, lets me grow my profile using their audience, and populates my page with more tangible examples of my offer.
I could also shoot a pinned post saying like “Did you get tagged in a video and now you’re checking out my profile? Here’s how I can help you.”
Any thoughts on this? I think it’s a pretty solid idea
