Dismissed all my alarms because I thought it was Sunday. A benefit of living close to work is I don’t have a mad rush in to work now because of it

It’s always hard when a pet passes, they’re part of the family.
Cancer is difficult with dogs too, because their heart beats so fast it can spread through the body quickly. On the flip side, I heard it means they can recover from strokes quickly as a result

That’s great about your sleep. I’ve heard meds can interfere if you take them at the wrong time

I’ve been noticing a lot of billboard ads from banks about scam and fraud prevention. I wonder if there’s a new wave of paranoia about these things from AI because there seems to be more than usual

I think I made the best steamy nachos so far today. Even then, I felt I was too slow on adding the flour and cheese when the time came. So that means even better steamy nachos in the future

I tried normie books once and found I don’t like them. Sometimes they’re an enjoyable read, but mostly they rely on you not knowing how human interactions or the world works to be believable

I heard Bluey was created as a response to how empty and pointless Peppa Pig feels.
Also, I’m pretty sure the same studio did the Big Knights. We got like one season of that and endless Peppa Pig. The world is an unkind place

No Ulthar this weekend, but that’s alright because it turns out a friend’s birthday was on at the same time. He only ever sends out Facebook invites so I’ve missed it the past few years. One time I straight up missed it and another year the boys were too difficult to put down.
It was good because I had this gift I’d been meaning to give him for almost two years, so it’s nice to finally hand that off.

The minor figures churro oat milk is really nice. Goes great with some cold brew coffee.
I was thinking, ‘why don’t they make their own coffee with their milk?’ Then I remembered they did, but it was pressurised with nitrogen, a very acquired taste in coffee. I enjoyed it, but I don’t see it on the shelves anymore

It doesn’t matter how nice REAs are. They are class traitors and agents of capital. They will not be spared when the revolution comes

I’ve been listening to hbomberguy’s video on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I’m living the meme. I’ve downloaded the original Deus Ex and I’m going to play it again.
I can’t believe there hasn’t been a game as elaborate as Deus Ex since. Maybe some proper RPGs have as many branches and paths, but no real time fps can touch it

I found another nice feature of the new marketing automation software compared to Marketing Cloud; it actually tells you who it doesn’t send an email to.
All email platforms have an internal suppression list of email addresses that have bounced too many times and aren’t worth sending to. The new system actually tells you who is on the suppression list and didn’t receive an email.
In the old job I had to run a query of the send list against the original contact list to find the difference. They were doing a lot of billing changes at the time so they had to make sure everyone was contacted. The new system Just Works.

Yeah, I think the tagline is Last Defence Academy or something. The teams behind the danganronpa and 999 games worked on it, if you’re familiar with those. It’s pretty much every type of Japanese visual novel in one game

I got the game Hundred Line for my girlfriend a while ago and I swear it’s “Video games when mum walks in: the video game”.
Not every line of dialogue is voiced, so the characters just make these moaning and grunting noises, which can sound like something else when you’re speeding through dialogue

I saw the band Ulthar are playing the Bendigo Hotel this Saturday. They’re the sort of band I thought would be too small to ever come here.
Check them out if you like the idea of an album being two 20 minute songs full of blackened death metal rifs

I got Spaghetti Kart working on a laptop at home, it’s a decompiling of Mario Kart 64 that makes it work more like a native pc game with improved resolutions and framerates.
It makes a huge difference and the game feels so much nicer. Also, I’m proud to announce my boys are more interested in chasing the train in that one level than doing the race, as you should be.

I went to that Museum of Desire over the weekend. It’s a bit of fun, but very basic and very hetero. It’s more of an instagram opportunity for corporate drones than a learning experience.
There are a couple of stores just around the corner that would teach you a lot more about those sorts of things, if you know where to look.
