Yeah, just rock up to a pre-poll place and say you’ll be travelling and they’ll let you. It’s more ‘preferred’ if you vote on election day, they won’t stop you voting early

We have a mailbox at our doorstep literally made for parcels and most deliveries just get put behind it instead of inside

I think I found the perfect childcare watch. The Casio gmbd300 is your regular slim G-Shock, but can connect to your phone via Bluetooth.
It’s not a smart watch, but you can do all the fiddly shit like setting the time and alarms on your phone and sync it with the watch

I took them to a doctor up here and got them some prescription medicine so I’m hoping they recover by the weekend

The boys are sick so it means I’m bedbound as soon as one needs to sleep because he has this sixth sense about you not being there.
My girlfriend said she wouldn’t stop working about being away from them but I said this could be a break for her to and I hope she’s enjoying it. She would be the one stuck in bed with him otherwise if we were home

Did you hit up the model train expo on the weekend as well?

Got the boys up to NSW to see the family today. It was a bloody long drive but we did it

I hope you find what works and you can just take a couple of pills to go ‘lock-in’ mode

I managed to have one in February oddly enough. You can jam 3 pays in there if you pack them real tight

I plotted this out in calendars when I got paid fortnightly as well. It feels good knowing its happening but I wish my bank account felt the difference more

Picked up the bike with the new Marathon tyres on it. I noticed the weight picking it up more than I expected, same with pushing off on a quick test ride. It’s not so bad once you get going, though.
It also just feels off having tyres like this on a gravel bike, like putting regular road tyres on a rally car but more noticeable. In reality this bike spends most of its time on the road and these tyres are meant to keep the flats away so I can spend more time riding. The added weight will be good for strength training

The IT guy is cool, he might let me.
At least Lenovo had the decency to let you change the Fn and Ctrl keys in the bios when they decided to switch them around for some reason. We’re probably all just stuck with the copilot key

There’s already a keyboard shortcut for it alt+spacebar or something. But they just had to demand manufacturers give it a dedicated button

The new work laptop has a Copilot button. The most offensive thing about it is the Copilot button has replaced the right Ctrl key. Remapping it with Powertoys hasn’t worked. I actually use the right Ctrl key so the irony of this button promising a productivity assistant replacing an actually useful key that enhances productivity is not lost on me.

Feeling better now but I think I’ll work from home today just to make sure everything is cleared from my system. The last thing you need before a week of is losing a day and a half to sickness

Last time this happened wasn’t it so bad the liberal party tried to scrub it from the internet?

Woke up about an hour ago, I was surprised how late it was. I was wondering if I’d work from home today but I guess it’s a day off at this point

An annoying thing about political emails is they’re exempt from regular opt-in and spam laws so you pretty much just have to block them. Very interesting what they’re tracking here though

I didn’t realise I had the same bug as the rest of the family until I finished my coffee in the office. I managed to get home alright without any problems. Another plus to the location of this place, the last thing you’d want is an hour long train trip after realising you’re sick

The Brian Cox series on ABC has a bunch of interesting stuff about this. I think one of Jupiter’s moon’s moons isn’t tidally locked to the moon itself, but another point in space of it’s elliptical movement.
Then you can look up Alpha Centuri and the suns and planets that orbit each other

I knew there was a car show in Reservoir this weekend but I wasn’t sure when it was. There was a community Easter thing on today that had cars at it so I took the boys there.
I checked my calendar and I did put a reminder in my calendar. It’s on tomorrow, so we can go down to reservoir tomorrow and look at cars again
