I hope my technical problems don’t ruin my chances too much, but they have similar roles open I can also apply for

There might be open bike parking in the hospital car park. Some car parks do have it and they’re not going to notice a bike that moves around occasionally. I’ll investigate more if I ever get the chance

I had an interview with a nearby university today. They have an arrangement with an ebike leasing company and onsite childcare, so I could see myself riding the boys to work in a cargobike on creek trails and dropping them off at childcare while I work. There were technical problems on my end with the interview though, so I hope that doesn’t impact things too much

There could be bike loops near the station for the grounds. It’s an easy ride in from North Richmond station as well, the ride along Albert Street is probably one of the safest you can do. But that area is a bit dodgy, even for an old bike

Well in not looking it up then. I needed a lie down after that read but I’m in the office today

I can see why bad experiences make women want to pursue other options. We went to a natural birthing class with a doula and even in that class there was a vibe of not going to the hospital.

God, that sovereign midwives article in the ABC really did a number on me. I usually don’t get bothered reading any things but I had to stop. I think it’s because one of my boys was chilling in breach position for most of the pregnancy

Mystery Science Theatre stream on YouTube. It’s great background noise or a low effort watch

I put my good bike in the bike cage near home. I’m thinking of a cheap bike that can be locked up near jolimont most of the week I could ride to and from the office and the station. There’s good parking at the office, I just need station parking

I’m considering the logistics of a city bike more again. I was thinking of buying a cheap old bike off marketplace to ride between the station and work, but I couldn’t figure out where to keep it locked up most of the week. I might be able to do it now if I can figure out that city spot now

I’m going to play through this with my girlfriend at some point. She wants to play on the TV so we need to figure out how to get my big PC around there or come up with a work around. Steam link through the TV laptop worked alright when I set it up last night

How would that work with weird prog songs with lots of changes?
All I want is album shuffle. Any streaming service to offer that will get my dollars

And I can read them in the dark easier. The kids still sleep in our room so I can’t really use a light for regular books

I get them there when I can but I’m too slow a reader at the moment to not need a couple of renewals to get through a book

I used to work at a big w and when they have a book it’s always cheap. Especially kid’s books. I feel bad for independent toy stores because it’s so hard to compete with the big department stores there

Unfortunately I don’t read as much as I’d like, which is part of it. I get my ebooks from ‘other’ parts of the internet and that’s what I went to check.
I’m reading The Crying Lot of 49 and my version has some weird formatting. I wanted to check if it was just an eBook thing or a deliberate stylistic choice. Turns out it was just a weird eBook formatting thing

That’s good to hear. There are told or there to help you compare prices because utilities are so ridiculous now, and there are no incentives to reward loyalty, so you can get the best deals by jumping around and changing company all the time

I’d like to be one of those people who feels compelled to buy a book every time they go into a book store, but they’re like $20 for even a basic paperback. I don’t want to drop that much every time I go look at books

I finally put on some Mystery Science Theatre after hearing about it for years and I’m both surprised at what it is and understand why it has such a cult following.
One of the guys from the Flophouse podcast was involved with the recent run and it make perfect sense why now.
It feels like the sort of show where you need to watch like 10 episodes to get into the groove and you can just enjoy it from there

Just a bunch of classic cars parked in front of the shops there. All your classic cars like falcons, toranas, vintage American muscle and the occasional Japanese or European car. It’s a good excuse for my boys to go for a walk and look at cars.
Killer cars and coffee on Facebook is the main organiser

Today was a big day but the party went great. These council community centres are perfect for parties like this. I could tell things were going well when people didn’t start leaving immediately after cake and presents. We just left out some toys and large janga and connect four and all the kids had a great time
