Doom Eternal is on GOG now, so I can see where I went wrong when I bought it. I could buy it off there pretty cheap but I think I won’t out of principle now. Microsoft should have made it more straightforward to buy, and they’re on the BDS list anyway.
I haven’t bothered pirating games in a while, this has kickstarted an old love of mine. I think I’ll do it for more singleplayer games I can’t see myself playing more than once

It’s different when it’s shitty photos the kids have taken. I suggested they take a photo of all their eggs so he took it as taking a photo of each individual egg. He also held them right in front of the camera so you couldn’t tell what it was as well

The knockoff charmeras are a hit, the kids have taken a bunch of blurry photos of things. But i accidentally wiped one card because I was looking through the options and wondered what ‘format’ was. Got my options mixed up and reformatted the card. I’ll have to get that kid to take a bunch of new photos

I think Good Friday is the worst of the christian public holidays. Everything is closed like Christmas but there’s nothing to do. And the thing all non practicing people do is not eat red meat. At least you get to give gifts to people on Christmas.
The best parts of easter are on the other days too, but Good Friday is meant to be the big one

Fuck, I just realised this video I was meaning to edit is just a series of photos. Instead of shooting a video, I just took a photo - twice. The iPhone camera app always defaults to photos after locking your phone, so now I have nothing on this video I was planing to do.

Yes, the new Pro 3 controller. I have the Pro 2 that I’ve been very happy with, but haven’t used as much as I’d like because of the Nintendo button layout. You can swap these out because they’re magnetic so it extends the use case by a lot.
I was using a Guilikit Kingkong but haven’t been completely happy with it recently. Switching to this controller has shown me how wrong I’ve been all these years for using it

Pretty impressed with it already. Feels nice, the dock also has the dongle in it so you can just plug that in to charge/play.
The dongle makes it feel more response than my old controller, and the dongle also means it works no matter what when dualbooting.
I also forgot it has switches to turn the triggers from analogue to digital, which will be a big help in Nightreign. No wondering if you’ve pulled a trigger enough to do an attack now, you feel the click and know it happened.
And I’m going to program the macro buttons to some annoying button combos for Nightreign, and maybe unassign sprint from the left stick because I kept accidentally pressing it on the old controller

It’s meant to be warmer tomorrow but i might try my boots on the bike. I got these boots from Rivers but they all turned out to be duds. Weird sizing and they must be for a super narrow foot because they hug my feet in all the wrong places. Plus they’re super heavy with a tread so hard it doesn’t seem to grip anything.
But they are meant to be waterproof

Oh god, I rode through a park this morning to avoid where I got hit by the car and the dew on the long grass immediately soaked through to my feet. And I had to ride through the grass for such a long stretch to get to a gap in the fence to go back on the road again.
If anyone can actually get Whittlesea city council to mow their lawns in a reasonable timeframe I am begging you to do so with the recent drop in temperature

Watched the Gatsby ballet last night. It was good, there were scenes and moments from the book that could be given more time through dance than what you get on the page. I’ve deliberately kept away from a lot of adaptations of it because I feel a lot of them miss the funny moments in the book, you could almost switch it up and make it a comedy if you wanted to, but it’s seen as this ‘big and important’ book that people overlook the jokes. The Great Gatsby could almost be done like Peepshow set in the 1920s.
But dance isn’t the medium for that, they did a very good job running through the main scenes in the form they did

I wish I could use this. Work is only 3 stations away just going off suburb names but my station is too far away to walk to and work is at the other end of the suburb. There’s a bus to my station but nothing to work, and it would be such a hassle to get the bike on there. I might try it once this week since it’s free to compare for time though

I got a Velectrix for around $2.5k. It’s a good balance between price and features. The main difference spending more would have got me is a bigger battery for more range. But the battery on this bike is kind of perfect for the ride to work and back right now

Steam do not seem to want to refund Doom Eternal, not acknowledging the issue with the version I bought. As far as I’m concerned I own this game so I’ll play it whether that’s extra legally or not.
That being said, my Steam account is old enough to vote and this is the first issue I’ve had with them in a long time

I just finished 2016 on ultra nightmare and wanted to jump into Eternal but it seems like I bought the wrong version because of all these confusing and annoying season pass options
