So the homeless guy is at the train station again. This time I spoke to him. Introduced myself as the neighbour, reassured him he is welcome to water, he needs water. Thanked him for watering my plants. Then asked if he needed help, told him about the facilities at the beach, asked if he had family. Offered money. He rejected all help. I told him that we are all part of society and that means caring and accepting help if needed. I can’t help someone if they don’t want help.
He has family , something is up if he doesn’t want them.
he looked so rough, thin, unkempt, full of cuts and bruises, and I think he had pneumonia.
but I think it made him feel a bit better to be treated kindly and with respect

but there was a group of extremists who did not believe in tolerance and they went to America where they could be as intolerant as they liked

I don’t like it.
It speaks of lack of trust.
Alamut could always say no. She doesn’t want the money. She will just take longer to save more. Because having locked room is unaccpetable.

I really do try very hard to respect Miss Seagoon’s judgement and personal preferences. I am very much of the belief that everyone in a family is equal and has equal say. Might not have say so or responsibility but everyone counts.
For example, Miss Seagoon might not like a B’day present I got her. That’s fine. She can give it away to a friend who does like it. She has other gifts and I will get her another thing. It’s not a problem.

If the parents want a half share in an apartment they can use they should at minimum have it legal.
And why should Alamut have to pay rates, insurance and expenses on their room?

for that amount of money it would take 1000 days minimum at a hotel to make it worthwhile
also, who is paying all the expenses like insurance, rates and upkeep, because that would be at least $25,000 a year. At least.
