I’m actually OK with it.
It’s their instance, you can check the wordlist in the config. It’s the
slur_filter_regex. If it would bother me too much I’d change instance or spin up my own.

It’s not about being PC, it’s about how the word is used. There’s nothing wrong with the word as it’s defined, but when it becomes a common insult it becomes less acceptable.
