My old house got tons of box elders and asian beetles. The side with the most sun would be absolutely caked on sunny fall and spring days. When they got inside, I’d use the vacuum with long extension hoses to suck them up. They have a smell but I would call it stinky – just kind of old and musty.

The bite that I am sensitive too comes from carbonic acid. Both in homebrewing and pop. CO2 packs a punch. Especially when you stick your head in the keezer to check on a leak.

Just a personal preference. Water dispensers on the door are typically plastic and look junky. It’s kind of the same reason I despise white cars and white cabinets.
