Since the uncovered cup of water shares space with people, who exhale carbon dioxide, it’s the carbon dioxide, increased acidity, and other absorbed gasses you taste. Exhaled carbon dioxide is breath leaving the body. So, ghosts.
So leave a cup of water overnight on your bedside table and drink it every morning to regain the life-force you breathed away while sleeping. PATENT PENDING!

Your municipality must use chloramines in their treatment. Common for home brewers to collect their brewing water and let it sit out overnight.
Giant insulated water bottle. Get to sip on it as I fall asleep and have plenty of 3am water all night and much of the morning

So my microwave is haunted. It has one of those old touchscreen control bullshits. If you use it with greasy or covered in meat juices fingers, the grease will continue to press the button only randomly. like we know what our microwave ghost really is, but it’s really conceptually fun to have a haunted microwave so we have a microwave ghost.
My phone does that if the screen gets wet (usually from forehead sweat). lol

My only hope for the future is that younger generations seem to not care about “political dynasties”. I’ll never understand the boomers obsession with ensure one family keeps power for generations. It doesn’t make sense
