I’ve actually tired to explain how Donald trump is the complete opposite of Tracy Morgan for these reasons. Trump is dumb as hell trying to sound smart, the first time you hear what he says it’s funny because it’s so unbelievable; then reality sets in and it stops being funny. I did some contract work for Schurz Communications maybe a decade ago and they did the same thing. They pushed right wing scripts to all their 3rd market oultlets, and because there is little media competition in those small markets, people would take it as the word of god. It definitely opened my eyes to the how large and effective the propaganda machine is.
