There’s a reckoning coming with social media mark my words. I don’t know when or how but it’s going to reach a tipping point when the destruction is enough.
It is destroying families and communities not government, or science, or policies. People like Elon and Zuckerberg are sowing the seeds that are actively destroying the fabric of society.

I laugh because he keeps extending it too and I sure and shit bet he will extend it again so the next government to come in has a poison pill in killing his gas rebate effectively raising the price of gas drastically overnight.
This is 100% intentional by the OPC. Bunch of fuckwits.

The last time I went to HR on toxic leadership it was very well known. I told them I’m the ideal employee. I’ve been here (at the time 10 years) rarely make a fuss. Never been to HR before. I had a well thought out letter explaining the challenges I was seeing and how toxic it was and how it was impacting myself and my coworkers.
They asked for names. I gave none. I told them they have the names (I had good info these people were well known). I explained that people are leaving the org, good people are not coming here. They need to address it. About 1+ year later there was a huge clearout of leadership then another a couple of years later. People who were well identified as toxic.
I like to think my speaking up helped with that, and I’m still here. More people need to stand on their principles damn the consequences.
- Comment on Indian start-up Yes Madam fires employees who indicated being stressed in the survey 1 week ago:
There probably is a confirmation bias at work here. People with healthy workplaces are probably less likely to complain online?
Same that they anonymized the data but c’mon I know people writing style I could tell which coworker wrote what if they narrow it down enough like by department.
- Comment on Indian start-up Yes Madam fires employees who indicated being stressed in the survey 1 week ago:
Oh I agree but thing is it’s principles for me. I spoke to a coworker recently about this in relation to a bad worker and if they should go to HR. My argument is I can’t rely on other people to speak about the challenges so it’s beholden on me to do that for those that may not want to take that risk.
It’s only a job. I make damn good money but if I got let go because of my principles that’s a good reason.

Just watched this last night and like the first it’s a genuinely enjoyable popcorn horror.
What I hate is the goddamn monster. It’s stupid. Personal opinion works much better as an unknown but that’s really my only gripe.
I loved the scene with the dancers and them fighting here it was so creative.

Or engage with them but expect the repercussions.
I’m very candid when this shit comes around my corp and am extremely nuanced in explaining the culture challenges.
The trick is to not explicitly call anyone out and highlight it’s a systemic problem.

Jesus Christ I was an ornary youth lol

I was drunk and high out of my gourd one night biking home along Bloor Street and got a ticket for speeding lol. This was maybe 2004. I have thankfully matured since then.

- Comment on How come people who are against abortion are in favor of the death penalty? Kind of seems like a contradicition/ 1 month ago:
Nope. I actually think life is sacred. The reason I’m pro-abortion is because I think anything that can be done to further impede children being born when we have hundreds of thousands of children in America alone who are orphans. That is a travesty.
My challenge to anyone who is anti-abortion would be are they adopting? Because their shit position is perpetuating a stream of children being born without someone to care for them either physically or emotionally.
In a perfect world, abortion would not exist outside of medical necessity. Unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world and as such many women are having children to be born into a cold and loveless world.
It’s sad. I could not imagine how cruel someone would have to be to be anti-abortion and yet so willing to effectively let a child’s life be aborted once they’re born.

Pro-choice yes. Haven’t heard many actually pro-abortion.

I’m pro abortion and against the death penalty! Someone ask me! I promise I’m not a troll. I am honestly pro abortion not just pro choice.

I’ve put far too much thought into this but realistically everyone should use Salvation Army. I personally hate that it’s religious but it’s also non-profit. For that alone it is better than Goodwill or Value Village.

I can’t believe I never put that 2 and 2 together.
It stresses how stupid AI is then if it was a human the question would be “is this a stop sign?” So it’s not even asking us to validate data. To me that means AI is still far from being intelligent. It’s requiring our input to learn. That’s not how we operate. My kids don’t require me to show them images of a stop sign for them to know what one is.

I went in with no intentions of it being good and no need for a prequel or rehash of the G1 timeframe I grew up loving dearly and subsequently watching my oldest son fall in love with the same G1 franchise and original 1986 movie gave me so much warmth.
I did not see this movie for me in any way. I’m old and jaded and can wax poetic about the 1986 movie for hours. I have gone on record at times saying it’s the best movie ever made.
That said, T One was the movie I never knew I needed.

47 year old dude who saw it Friday night with my 14 year old son. We are both G1 fans and rank the 1986 movie as the best on by far. This new movie is now the second best Transformers movie ever animated or not.
