Welp, I guess game seven it is, then, ha.
Lmao Hali doing a no-look pass when it’s obviously a pass to Siakam.
Cautiously optimistic for the win tonight.
Forgot the thread fellas
What a performance. I hope Hali recovers from this calf thing. Bummer way to end it.
The bench unit going hard exhausted the Thunder so now the Pacers starters are taking advantage of the tired OKC starters. This is what the Pacers needed, that bench production.
Bout time someone gave OKC a taste of their own medicine (suffocating defense).
Halftime. Carlisle should keep the bench unit in when they’re cooking. Turner hasn’t really been great outside of the occasional 3 once a quarter. I also like how aggressive the Pacers are compared to the past 2 games. If refs won’t give them the same easy fouls as the Thunder, then they should just go hard and attack the paint.
Carlisle waited too long to bring in TJ back in 2nd half. He came in only at the end of 3rd.
I am sad thunder noises.
Alright, Thunder, we gotta stay the course here and get this win.
Today we find out if this is a series or not. Good luck fellas.
End of 3Q. To be fair to the Pacers, even when they’re not playing well, they’re only (being generous here) down 19. Other teams would be down by 30+ by now when the Thunder do their avalanche runs.
Tyrese also had like 3 points and 2 TO, must be a TO high for him at half. He will adjust in Indy.
Thunder learned their game one lesson and did not relent after that first run, kept the lid on.
I like Caruso but holy shit how are the refs just letting him get away with hacking and pushing players.
OMG!!! OMG!!! OMFG!!!1
Obi jumps so high but can’t grab a freakin rebound.
This is so fucking exciting.
If you don’t score for several minutes at a time, you lose ball games. Pretty crazy.
Insane ending. We got a series boys.
That last Hali shot looked so short I thought it was gonna be an airball. I need some blood pressure medicine for this series goddamn.

Ah fuck no… that Haliburton injury doesn’t look good. His calf muscles snapped.
scytale@lemmy.zip 5 days ago
Definitely achilles. You could see it snap in the slow mo replay. Sigh.
Tugboater203@lemmy.world 5 days ago
Yeah, that looked bad.
scytale@lemmy.zip 5 days ago
Welp, I guess that’s it. What an anti-climactic ending. Teams can only wish refs called their defense the way they do OKC.
scytale@lemmy.zip 5 days ago
This is where you see Hali’s importance. Their offense suddenly stops moving when he’s out. TJ is a good backup and has helped them a ton, but he’s not as great a playmaker.
Tugboater203@lemmy.world 5 days ago
To be fair, every time he passes it they turn it over

I can’t believe these fucking rejects are the people ESPN trots out for halftime show of game 7 of the NBA finals.

ESPN product is so horrific it is mind boggling. They have to be produced by reality TV wannabes at this point because that is what the editing feels like.

Who’s going to step up for the Pacers?
scytale@lemmy.zip 5 days ago
Nembhard, Nesmith, TJ, and Toppin need to collectively step up.
Tugboater203@lemmy.world 5 days ago
TJ is doing some work.

I’m pulling for the Pacers, but if SGA wants to be The Man in OKC he needs to bring it big now.

The fucking devil came to collect. Dammit this was supposed to be an epic game 7. I mean it still can be, but would’ve been much better with everyone healthy.

Yeah he was cooking there
