As somebody who has bitten in to a bone in a boneless chicken sandwich at KFC - on two different occasions, months apart - I for one appreciate boneless food no matter what form it’s in. Boneless chicken? Perfect. Boneless avocado? Sure. Boneless raspberries? Absolutely. Boneless applesauce? I sure as hell hope so.
I prefer mine with the bone

Fun fact: in my native language the word for a pit (as in a hard central fruit seed) is directly translated as “little bone” so depending on who you ask, avocados indeed do have bones :3

Same in Russian, and I believe this is the original source of confusion :)
In some languages, hard seeds and bones are described by related words

I see fruit labeled all the time as gluten free at grocery stores.
Fyi for those who don’t know. Gluten is created from wheat.

I have family with Coeliac and friends with other issues. Cross-contamination is real problem for some.
Katana314@lemmy.world 6 hours ago
It’s a valid statement, stupidly enough.
A family friend once had a gluten reaction from fruit. Turns out, the caterer presented it with a spray over them that makes them shinier - and that has gluten in it.
Wxfisch@piefed.world 6 hours ago
The spray also helps to maintain freshness longer, so it’s not just a “pretty fruit sells better” tactic. Though it should be stickered if it’s coated and that coating is wheat derived (not all are).

I guess if they can make boneless grapes then they can also make boneless avocados

Kinda surprised people were saying “dead ass” in 2017. For some reason I thought that was more recent.

Did you know that 2017 is closer to the fall of Troy than it is to today?

The bones are the meme, but I want to know which branch of which tree in which orchard grew that seedless avocado. Because grafts.
