Flying your spaceship around in a full size realistic galaxy is the most fun I’ve had in VR and gaming entirely. I’ve almost exclusively used VR when playing elite and every time it’s a joy.
The first time flying my sidewinder around was unforgettable. The sense of scale is incredible. Dogfights in VR are super fun. Just exploring in general is so immersive and engaging.
I have a bunch of other VR games to play but I never get around to them because Elite just sucks me in so much. It’s living the space adventure I dreamed of as a kid.
