Crazy that “a classic case of serious negligence” resulting in two deaths can be dealt with a £4K fine…

One Stop couldn’t have been clearer: don’t confront shoplifters. She admits she knew the policy and received training, yet she deliberately ignored it because “instinct took over.” That’s exactly why they sacked her.

I left a fan on one Summer having no clue how expensive they were (are?) to run. I thought the electric company made a mistake when my bill came, long story short they hadn’t :(
- Comment on UK needs to urgently install air conditioning in schools and care homes, climate campaigners say 3 weeks ago:
That’s probably because you’re not in a care home or of schools age (I’m assuming?) kids and people in care are much more suspectable to things like heatstroke. Glad to hear you’re not struggling.

Just like all the immigrants who supported Trump only to be locked away or shipped off to God knows where. Naive people are never in short supply.

These assholes spent the mid-2000s trying to kill PC gaming just to push their console. It didn’t work and now, nearly 20 years later, they’re crawling back begging PC gamers for attention.
Enjoy catching up.

- Comment on "Game preservation only works if people care" As GOG doubles down on its commitment to saving old games, it's asking players "who give a s**t" to support its crusade 3 months ago:
Good to know but I’m not sure how that’s relevant to the principle originally being discussed.
The movement is about the legal right to keep what you paid for *period*. If you’re “fine” with publishers killing service games today, you’re just signaling to the industry that you’ll be fine with them adding mandatory online check-ins to your favorite single-player games tomorrow.
Apathy toward a principle usually ends with losing the privilege you thought was safe… Food for thought.
