The tags are one thing, but the random strings are too far!
Cruel and unusual

Took me a second to realize that the loose threads weren’t just sloppy workmanship. :(

And the loop side with burnt and cracked edges.

This is like suggesting it’s a kink to be fucking set on fire.

Ok I am not autistic but like the fucking princess & the pea when it comes to socks. Seams? Feel like they are ropes. The slightest lump feels like it’s so big.
Tags can go to hell, there’s no purpose for them. Plenty of companies just use print inside the collar not a tag.

Honestly, that’s a good sensory thing to have. Small sock wrinkles and tiny pebbles in your shoe turn into blisters on day-hikes. There are times to have grit and “tough it out” and this is not one of 'em.

Who’s gonna tell him?

My dude, I have news for you…
RBWells@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Not a dude, dude. I do love most sensory experiences, no trouble with food or sex or whatever. And I think too spontaneous and disorganized to land in autistic territory.
But even minimally irritating clothing bothers me to probably an unusual degree, yeah. Tags suck. Seams suck. Bras suck. And socks? The technology exists to make them seamless and smooth, thank goodness.

I wonder if I’m just weird, because I swear I hate the printed tags more than the paper tags. I can feel the print sticking, especially if I sweat even the slightest bit.

There might be a legal requirement or something. Or a place for theft protection NFC. But good companies attach them to an easily cuttable piece of fabric so you can remove 100% it.
Kudos to Decathlon for figuring this out.

This makes me physically uncomfortable to look at. I love it. Gimme 8.

They already invented this for me and aptly called it a dickey (the turtleneck variety).

gah. only ever had one or two shirts with crap tags like those. cut them off after the first twinge
wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 13 hours ago
From the preview, I thought that was a glory hole with tape around it, then ‘how the hell do you get your whole head in one of those’.
That’s canon now, can’t change my mind.

Needs more of the flared nylon filament tagging thingers.
