I hate the fact that this movie causes people to make fun of the genre and think it’s bad in general. Searching is an amazing movie and I love it, and it also has its entire plot on a computer screen. But it actually works, if you have a skilled director, great actors, a really good plot, and know how to exactly use that concept to make a great movie.

Tips in the US must be entirely out of control. In my experience, 10% is for good service, above for rare exceptional and less if you weren’t entirely satisfied. Not even printing anything below 16 is insane.

Holy shit. The game pineapple is literally almost 1:1 this Greentext as a game. That’s so funny, I wouldn’t have known.

Uhm, the web is to share content, not to play JS
The web doesn’t have a single unified purpose. Even if I hate it as a programming language, JavaScript if the basis almost all client-side browser operations build upon.Sure, a simple website which just contains information works without it, but if you design a website in which the client does anything interactively and not everything should be processed server-side, it’s not really possible. No matter if you’re talking about a web game, something like Google Earth or an in-browser editor.

I, as a user, should be able to switch off javascript and have the site work exactly as it does with javascript turned on.
I mean… many websites rely on JavaScript, so it’s kind of obvious that they don’t work without it. If it would work without JS in the first place, the website wouldn’t need to embed any JS code.

Well, I’m agreeing with everything @JadaTaykesIt@lemmy.world answered to this, but I genuinely don’t know why, if Marvel movies are just generally something you don’t like, Iron Man 1 is such an exception.
As they also said, especially in the beginning there were many really highly praised movies. Especially the original Avengers movie, Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Civil War.
