I mean, a salad spinner would do the same thing, but it wouldn’t add the extra mop water flavor we all love.

I still don’t know how mop water always converges to the same flavour with repeated use, even in different environments.

Like, the mop in a commercial garage, your grocery store (unless it’s been used to clean up an oil spill), and in your basement all produce very similar tasting water.

Absolutely cursed comment. Thanks, I hate it.

What about a mop used in a bar?

You are joking but the dust in IT equipment almost alwqys has a distinct smell in the same type of business (e.g. medical).

What do you have against mop water, punk?

      source
      • okwhateverdude@lemmy.world ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

My good sir, I do believe you’ve mistaken my position for the obverse whereas I do indeed prefer the delectable flavor profile liberally applied to my noodly noms.

As somewhat of a mop enthusiast this is admittedly an area of functionality I had not previously considered.

Well for some reason I couldn’t find a mop-based Lemmy instance so I hosted my own.

Freeze the strained pasta water for use as decorative ice cubes for dinner.

    source
    • panda_abyss@lemmy.ca ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

Okay but I unironically could see myself doing this to add starch to pasta sauces…

      source
  • ThePantser@sh.itjust.works ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

I have the version with a water tank to rinse. Should be handy to hold the sauce.

    • snoons@lemmy.ca ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

ohhh and then you can keep it in the fridge for extra spaghettiness for long time.

Just put it in the washing machine and let it spin. No need to use your own muscles.

    source
  • tomi000@lemmy.world ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

Its supposed to be spinning in the second picture right? But how?

    source
    • Kimika@lemmy.world ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

There is a pedal you step on repeatedly to make it spin and spin.

      source
      • tomi000@lemmy.world ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

Ah I see, smart. I only know the kind where you press the mop down

        source
  • billwashere@lemmy.world ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

Now I wanna use my salad spinner to do this.

And yet Americans still have the pig headed arrogance to think they have a valid culinary opinion.

    source
    • slackassassin@sh.itjust.works ⁨2⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

Nothing says pig headed arrogance quite like xenophobia.
