What would you even do? Read a book, …? What’s the difference between at home and in a public space with people?
I went on a few dates with a woman who saw me reading a book in public and started a conversation. I’m not a social person, but talking to strangers is nice, from time to time.
We’re social animals. Most of us benefit from interaction. Society is better when we interact with people outside our normal bubbles.

While Castaneda’s work was accepted as factual by many when the books were first published, the training he described is now generally considered to be fictional.

While she was working there, the Jamaican government banned asset transfers in response to sanctions imposed by the U.S. after the election of Michael Manley, a supporter of Fidel Castro. In order to return to the U.S., True would have had to either forfeit her pay or spend the money before she went home.[13] True, who by this time was trying to break into the music industry, chose to invest the money in recording a demo of “More, More, More”,
I love everything about this.
