I mean, it’s okay to complain about your job regardless of whether or not you plan on leaving it. Especially when you have what is literally many kids’ stated dream jobs, it’s kinda important to give those kids some perspective when they’re at an age that it’s easiest to shift gears into a different career

The load that people like Hasan has to deal with is insanely high. I doubt there’s an “off” switch either. I’m a wage slave and I wouldn’t want to trade positions with him. Media’s been targetting him quite bad lately too.

I think Hasan is a net positive for leftist politics in USA overall, but god damn this is doubly true for Hasan I don’t even really tell people I like him. Nobody that I know in real life is interested in his politics anyway it’s just people who like internet drama.
I have personal bias in favor of the guy because while watching his stuff I actually hate the drama farm side of the internet, Hollywood, music, whatever. But god damn I get annoyed by people who are kinda yuppies & act like yuppies especially a guy who’s such a good orator. Like shit the fuck up about the DNC and take off that fuck ugly Gucci shirt. That’s really my main gripe with any leftist orator, hasan kinda being the easy dunk example

Yeah seems kind of whiny since he’s super successful and was probably already well-off, but on the other hand…
I’m kind of tired of hearing that my nieces and nephews have no career goals other than to be a “content creator”.
Maybe if more people were honest about what it takes and how the social media companies have started to squeeze creators then kids would aspire to get real jobs.

It’s whiny out of context. But imagine doing public speaking for 60 hours a week with audience members recording everything you say to try and twist it out of context. Then throw in the endless character assassinations, death threats, and the fact he covers genocides… I couldn’t do the job he does.

Maybe not, I don’t know how much he makes, there’s a lot I’d put up with if it could mean early retirement. If he’s really making 2.8m in two years then that’s a mil after taxes and there’s no reason he couldn’t retire at 40 and live a more modest lifestyle. Could be worth it.
