Crude but definitely not grotesque.

I have a friend that’s Hindu and he told me his “friends” put ground beef into the lamb mince as a “prank”. He didn’t easily forgive them either. I don’t think that’s on this level, but I feel as though you should be able to feel out your friends enough to pull a prank. If you can’t really tell, then you shouldn’t mess with them.
That being said, six years is a REALLY long time 🤣

Seriously, you don’t enjoy cooking with a partner or family member or anything?
I actually really enjoy it. Apparently for my friends it’s like real life Overcooked levels of screaming.

Yeah I’m getting a bit tired of it myself. It’s fun to banter but there’s not really much banter left.

In all seriousness, there’s some great British food and people get too territorial about what constitutes as what food belongs to whom.

lol I actually quite like Irish food. Went to a random pub in Galway and had some stew and it was so good! Irish beef is awesome.
I have friends kinda like what you described though. No spices and they love bland food, lol.
I’m okay with people taking jabs at British food to be honest. Like, my first year back when I was an adult I didn’t know what to eat and I actually cooked more because I didn’t know what to get. It wasn’t until I made some friends that I knew places to check.

Of course it does. I grew up in the UK and it’s fun taking jabs but then you have a bunch of people who just keep doubling down as if they’re God’s gift to the kitchen.
My favourite take of theirs is always what they exclude from English food but they’ll talk about American food and include everybody else’s cuisine …

I saw a video where people have been freezing their rice … which is something I need to start doing because I just wind up eating way too much rice for meals.

What you’re describing makes me kinda miss being a regular at a pub.
Post-COVID and moving to Canada … I find that I stay at home all the time nowadays. The bars I go to here are more establishments and have less of the home feel I used to get in Europe.

When it came out that Clarence Thomas was getting bribed and nothing came of it, it was done.
Like the article said, I’m glad they’re crunching the numbers and seeing it too. 😔

My manager once swapped my coworker’s keyboard to say “FUMICHAL” or something like that on the keyboard.
It was many weeks before my manager had to point it out to him that he did that. Since my coworker was a touch typer he just never noticed. I think my boss thought that since he was Polish that maybe he’d look down once in a while, but nope.
I don’t think he ever changed it back because he just never thought it was worthwhile to do so.

lol I was gonna make that joke (I am British too)
I do think it’s overstated about how bad British food is, at least nowadays but at the same time, we’re self-deprecating so lines up.

Expedition 33 has great graphics fidelity but it has amazing art direction too. When people said all Unreal games just feel the same … I like the art style they chose to give it their own feel.
- Comment on "The hope is to have a fresh 'Star Trek' movie, though [Paramount] has moved on from the idea of bringing back Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and the rest of the ensemble from the J.J. Abrams reboot." 3 months ago:
I really liked Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto and enjoyed the first two movies. The first one far more than the second though.
The second had what I felt were unnecessary linked to their prequels and it’s also what the worst parts of Craig’s Bond and Solo were as well.
I don’t think they embodied the spirit of Star Trek though, but I was hoping they could have worked those out.

If M Night Shyamalan directed this, it would be a Superman reveal at the end with a cheesy one-liner.

- Comment on WTF BIT ME? 3 months ago:
Seriously, I’ve had it once before when I stayed at a place in New York almost 20 years back at this point.
I was like, oh … why are these bumps and why are they in a row? so weird!
Although, worse was when I got a bed in London UK at Swiss Cottage to just stay one night. It was like a dorm room bed. I think I estimated that I got like 200 bed bug bites in total. I had to estimate but it was crazy. What’s funny is that when you’re entire body is covered in bites, the itchiness bothers you a bit less because if it’s just one area you keep scratching it. However when it’s your whole body, you’re like … everywhere equally hurts so I don’t need to bother scratching. At least that’s what it was like for me.
Sorry, just releasing out the trauma :P
Now whenever I get any bites … I just freak out and wonder if it’s bed bugs. I woke up last night and noticed an itchy bump and just freaked myself out.

When my friend’s daughter was 9 years old and he was complaining how she didn’t know how to read an analogue clock.
I mean, I wound up teaching my nephews when they were 4 … not sure what’s stopping him from doing it though.

Supposed to do the end game content for Expedition 33 but I’ll probably just be doing rounds of Megabonk.

I liked Korra too. I liked the aesthetics and call backs … they didn’t feel as “in your face”. It doesn’t have the majesty of the original series, but I liked it still!
- Comment on Here we go again... 3 months ago:
That’s fair.
I was mainly talking about the movie and netflix series.
I considered the original and series and Korra locked in together as they were made by the original creators and we were mainly talking about offshoots.

I dunno, not even old franchise but even with Avatar the Last Airbender … they keep trying to retell Aang’s story when they could do so many others stories within the universe and give nods to the original. Repeatedly doing the same storyline makes it feel smaller.

I can’t tell the diff in FPS performance. I wish I could.
When I got my PS5 and played some games I was like, wow the future is here! Turns out I was playing PS4 games. Also I turned on and off ray-tracing for SpiderMan and couldn’t tell either.

Pfft, you should have skipped paying rent and then put that into a low cost index fund and in 30 years you’ll have like 20 million. If you just paid rent it’ll go nowhere.
