This is a total tangent, but, WHO THE FUCK IS WALTON GOGGINS?…the man just appears out of nowhere to show up in all my adverts, and I sit here, “Walton Goggins, you named your kid ‘walton’”?
pregnantwithrage@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
He’s been around since the 2000’s, he was perfectly cast in The Shield and just has been a soild actor in everything I’ve seen him in. Glad he’s final getting his roses.

He was perfect for Boyd in Justified as well. Very under rated show, in my opinion, but very well acted throughout.

Walter Googins is goddamn awesome, if he is in it then its going be a good movie/show.

Thanks, I realise now I have seen him numerous times, but has just come into his “William H. Macy” moment.

The first time his name showed up in my news feed I genuinely thought it was a character name of some movie or video game villain. Imagine my surprise when I found out that’s the actor’s actual name.

IKR!

If you haven’t seen Vice Principals, I can’t decide if I should recommend it or warn you to avoid it. Both. Let’s go with both.
desiccated_event@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 weeks ago
Consider it taken under advisement.

Avoid it, because it was so good.

“First of all I absolutely let you have all the privacy you wanted. Second of all those were my Corn Flakes and I was absolutely justified in cutting your brakes. Back me up here, doc.”

Well that’s a novel take on things

My ex actually sent my therapist MULTIPLE emails to try to share her side of the story, and also to try to get him to share confidential information about me. Apparently in all his years of therapizing, he’d never seen anything quite that crazy.

Therapist: “Another rube to line my pockets…”
you_are_dust@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
One of my ex’s told me she lies and hides things during therapy. That’s probably the best way to use therapy. But that would make this all the more interesting to hear.
VinnyDaCat@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Therapy exhausts me, and I’d like to be uninvited to these sessions as I don’t have much to add, but seeing posts like this and reading other peoples stories makes me realize that it could absolutely be so much worse.

My ex-boss stopped talking to me over something stupid. I pretend he does not exist wherever he passes by, was the only one not to wish him a happy bday, go out of my way to avoid mentioning, and would not piss on him if he was on fire.
Amyway, once you are done with a person, be done with them proper. At best, you should treat them as a prop, not a human.

Lol I’d love to be a fly on the wall at one of my ex’s therapy sessions as I know for sure she’s incapable of telling the truth about just about anything. The fantasies she concocts are more amusing when you know everything.

I try real hard to remind myself when people tell me their sob stories that somewhere out there is someone who would be flabbergasted at the bullshit being spewed in my face.
moistclump@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
It’s not all the time but if someone has sob story after sob story after drama after drama I start to think they’re just telling me stories about their victims.
El_Scapacabra@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
It’s extra fun when they are delusional enough to accidentally tell on themselves.
For example, if someone tells me unprompted that their nasty family members are falsely accusing them of something and cut off contact over it, I immediately believe whatever “false” accusations they claim to have against them.
I use this example because I literally had this conversation with a total stranger and he truly had no idea how bad he was making himself look.
