“If it smells like shit everywhere you go, check your shoe” sums it up pretty nice
Comment on Two sides to every story
moistclump@lemmy.world 3 days agoIt’s not all the time but if someone has sob story after sob story after drama after drama I start to think they’re just telling me stories about their victims.

As someone who fell prey to someone that way, yep. I try not to be callous, but at a certain point it goes from “you’re part of the problem” and into “you’re incapable of coping with a boring normal situation and so you just cause problems to deal with it”

People who feel the need to feed drama in their life feel like they don’t matter. They create problems to feel like something actually matters in their life, that they matter, that their problems matter, and they create these problems themselves to involve others to get that social validation of themselves as being people who matter. It’s basically narcissism. Nobody gives a shit about them, so they create problems for everyone so that they have to pay attention.

That literally is my ex. Me and all her other exes were apparently violent and abusive, cheaters, bad with money and 100 other things. Like she literally tells her friends I was violent but also begs to get me back because her new boyfriend can’t hold down a job and she doesn’t want to go back to work either.
Everything is protection with her.
