Check the privacy policy. It’s about all you can do these days, and hope it doesn’t change post fact.
- Comment on The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Official Trailer | Premieres May 4 on AMC & AMC+ 1 week ago:
Negan and Maggie are still alive? I stopped watching anything walking dead after Glenn.
What is the timeline for this?
- Comment on Owing your home today is nearly impossible, but even if you did the ever increasing property taxes will bury you 3 weeks ago:
I think most places have a senior freeze, so once you qualify it doesn’t go up anymore.
- Comment on James Cameron will reportedly open Avatar 3 with a title card saying no generative AI was used to make the movie 4 weeks ago:
AI or “algorithm” upscaling fundamentally creates something out of nothing. That’s what upscaling is, so it is generative because its quite literally generating “guesses” at what should be there, pixel by pixel.
Its literally the trope in movies where they’re reviewing grainy security can footage and someone says “enhance” and its magically a crystal clear image. Its just that we have technology to do that now.
I’d agree there’s a semantics argument that using AI for upscaling is different than creating new, but its just that semantics.
- Comment on GTA 6 publishers think PC is of "increasing" importance in 2025, but still won't announce the magic date 1 month ago:
That’s good to hear, the few I’d read about made it seem more common than not. Especially games with multiplayer.

Linux compatibility would be fantastic. Not sure how to judge the likelihood of that.

Speed running the enshittification of AI would be ideal.
- Comment on Would you do Onlyfans if needed the money? 2 months ago:
Fair response. I had assumed for many people 100/hr would replace their primary job and thus be worth the trade. If were talking measure time after your primary job, I certainly understand valuing that time even higher than your hourly rate at said job.
- Comment on Would you do Onlyfans if needed the money? 2 months ago:
Curious what you do that 100/hr isn’t a good use of time, because that sounds like something I’d like to learn about.
- Comment on Anon buys a TV without researching 2 months ago:
Its pretty hard to avoid at this point if you want anything larger than a big computer monitor or a refresh rate above 60hz.
- Comment on Is it time to start a campaign against kernel-level anticheat? 3 months ago:
Steam is a good platform, but if this strategy works and it kills off kernel level anticheat and gets more Linux support, those would be next level contributions to gaming.
- Comment on Anon is a nostalgic gamer 3 months ago:
Surf servers were the best, especially with actual rounds and weapons. Pure surf got boring, bit cs mechanics in a surf world was pretty fun.

This can also backfire because they might transfer you back to the queue, losing your previous spot.

You had me until the toss, because Aragorn definitely can toss a dwarf that far, but the rest? All made up.
- Comment on Posting the shopping cart theory because people had questions in a separate thread 6 months ago:
Agreed completely, yet the amount of carts not returned in just about any parking lot indicates most people aren’t playing by this logic.

That’s fucking gold.

Hiding a camera in person would be actively malicious if the other party doesn’t know. Having a zoom recording leaked is less actively.

Same here. Took my lighter leaving Vegas as well. Took it right through on the way there. Wtf?

This is what gets me the most. It’s totally arbitrary, every time it’s a chance for new rules. What you brought one way maybe a problem on your way home.

Former kbiner, but out of the loop on this one. What’s I miss?
- Comment on This will be YouTube in 2025 9 months ago:
Yeah. Just warning for those that didn’t watch it, starting off on the pig one thinking you’re gonna see the advertisement one could be a rude switch.

Definitely black mirror, but pretty sure it is not episode one.

I don’t know about McDonald’s abroad, as I’ve never had it out of country, but here state side McDonald’s isn’t even fast anymore. It used to be fast, cheap, and acceptable, but they’ve given up fast and cheap and it’s really only acceptable now.
Still faster than most sit down restaurants, but nowhere near what it was in terms of speed ten years ago.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
That’s no worse than you started. The fact remains nobody is going to get 100% coverage of their contact list on the fediverse without Meta, so trading a Facebook account for a threads account is no different, and it ignores the benefits of that time when you maybe able to live without either.
