Naw, Bacon got a mention on the Place That Must Not Be Named as a missed DT’er.

Gutters started overflowing. Thankfully it was the release valve near the tank and not anything else (just cleaned the bloody things a week and a bit ago).
But golly gosh when I hear water gushing I get completely paranoid now after all the water woes over the last few years.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Gushing water scares me more than the power going out.
Taleya@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
power outage meas safety mechanism stopped the worst.
Gushing water is months to years of fucking drama and mould paranoia
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
All fixed now (touch wood), but after years of roof leaks and overflowing gutters I’m completely triggered by dripping noises
just_kitten@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Op went well but dang, keeping on top of the eyedrops and meds for the next week and doing a lot of cleaning and bending down etc for my mum is quite a bit of work. Between that and getting on top of work and uni it looks like I’ll have a lot on my plate
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Glad to hear the Op went well!
imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
It is hard. Go gently with yourself where you can. It’s great you are able to be there and help.
imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
gambling
TAB has a Coalition majority at 17 to 1. Seriously thinking of chucking 10 bucks on it so at least I could buy myself an expensive bottle of scotch to drown my sorrows if they win
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I wonder if you can place bets on the new pope. I’d chuck a tenner on an outsider for the win.
imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I’m sure you can. Personally I’d like to see Cardinal Pizzaballa (yes that’s a real person)
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago

bacon@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
im doing $20
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Really hope it rains today. Come on BOM, let your predictions be right 🙏
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
It looks like most of the rain will miss us, but I have set a load of washing in progress so here’s hoping!
dumblederp@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I saw lightning over the bay about 5:30am on the dog walk… over the bay-ish from Mulgrave, south-west of where I was.
bacon@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
they already changed it from full day rain to half day 😔
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
💔
bacon@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
omg I can still fit into my grade 11 class jacket
melbourne_wanderer@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
are you in year 12?
bacon@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
yes 🐣
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
you have at least another 5 years growth , no way that will fit when you are 25
bacon@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
🐓
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Made it home from footy. Wet through, but on the bright side I have Mongolian beef and a donut
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
You’re a good person, sitting in the rain to make sure they get fed ☔🥹
Eagle@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Not stupid.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
why?
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I’ve done a load of washing and cleaned the bathroom. Soon I’ll make some guac and a Bolognese sauce but I’m being really lazy about it lol.
Duenan@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Doing a load of washing right now, woke up pretty late so I won’t be able to get it out for another 30 mins.
I did bolognese sauce last night, as long as it works it’s all good!
After washing I’ll warm up a lasagna and get ready for the Anzac Day footy match.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Neighboura having a blue outside so of course I’m at the top of my driveway laughing my arse off.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I just had a nap. Why?
I need to stay up till around 2am because I’m going to a concert tomorrow night and want to go out afterwards without zonking out halfway through.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
You doing good and planning in advance.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Hilarious scenes here. Kid has now learnt why spending 5 hours in her new car with radio, lights and windows down is too much for a little battery. Also why Mummy has windy windows. Daddy is now charging the battery to atleast wind the windows up in case it rains. Kid has now killed Daddy’s buzz.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
At home is the best place to learn this lesson
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Exactly. Lesson learnt 👏 👏 👏

underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I really do try not to be judgy. But there are people out there actually making an active choice to have margarine on their toast. It’s not better for you and it tastes like spreadable plastic.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
what if dairy products give a person tingly lips? 😖
underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
The olive oil based stuff is still way better than marge. Have some Nuttelex.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Marge is a good starter spread for kids cos unlike butter it does rip holes or roll off the bread.
underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I guess kids don’t know any better. But spreadable butter is a thing.

Undercover, lucky duck 🦆
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I expect ducks would consider it lucky to be out in the rain.
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Wheelchair seats are good for that
Catfish@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
We were far from the only ones who got the shop opening time wrong and had to twiddle our thumbs in the car park
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
90 mins waiting at chemist.
Laaaaaaaame.
SituationCake@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Friend coming over tonight for dinner, was an spur of the moment decision so now I have to wait for shops to open to get some supplies. Am also part of the DT washing day gang, have a load on. Panic house tidy is also in the works.
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Morning work complete 🎺
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
OK I gotta stop going to bed early. Getting up at 7:30am on my day off is lame lol
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Post nap regret
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
post bottle of wine no regret
underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I’m glad the Anzac march was dry. Happy for it to piss down this afternoon now.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
If anyone is interested in looking at some more outdated decorating I’ve found another fabulous house. The wallpaper in the bedrooms is particularly interesting.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
For rent already? I love that shit, I had it on my “I’d buy that” wishlist lol.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
me too
I love it
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Only 8 car spots. Amateurs.
But honestly if you had a heap of coin to do it up, that place would be great. i’d call dibs on the pool room and turn it into a studio. Outdoor undercover area could be turned into something amazing.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
I think it’s got great potential - I’d definitely consider buying something like that to do up, but as a rental where you are stuck with it as is I’m much less enthusiastic. I also assume that as the property was only just bought that the landlord would be planning to kick you out in a fairly short timeframe to do some sort of renovation, it’s definitely not something you’d buy to hold as a long term rental.
Catfish@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Kitchen not too bad, bedrooms vomitous, pool room covetable!
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Given the extensive shedding, I think this would be PERFECT for a car collector or similar. Or someone with a horsefloat and a caravan and a boat and a few zillion motorcycles to store undercover.
Nath@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Ran into Pauline Hanson this morning. She’s aged, which I suppose stands to reason. I just hadn’t considered that she’s 70, now. She’s clearly dying her hair bright red these days. I hope she does that for herself and not from some unspoken need to fit a certain look for women in politics. Men are allowed to age and go grey. Parliament is not Hollywood.
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Nice juicy storm over Trentham right now and heading our way, so maybe the washing machine magic has sorta kinda worked. Most of my washing is pretty much dry and easily tumble dried from here on so happy about that.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
sanded the outdoor table a bit and have applied the last coat of paint
after it’s dry will tidy the balcony 🙂
off to the shops after lunch to get some things for fixing up the vintage bedroom suite 🙂🙂

So ANZAC day being so close to Easter, this April we remember the veterans who died for our sins.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Poured myself a nice glass of mineral water over ice.
Took a nice big gulp…and it’s Tonic water.
How’s your evening going?
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
It’s been a big week. I’m tired but I’m ok, I’ll rest tomorrow. Plus man and kid picked up her new car today so it’s a celebration 🎉. Good news is, with a little rearranging both cars will fit in the garage because her’s is a matchbox.
Cheers everyone 🍺 and 'ave a good weekend.
*This post was brought to you by a very confused little dog who is wondering why there’s a strange car in the driveway.
dumblederp@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
has she done a defensive driving course, they’re pretty good for learning to swerve and brake, you might be able to get away with something similar out your way.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
Mate, she hasn’t even got her licence yet.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 weeks ago
