    In MSP as soon as they sent in actual trained people (the state’s national guard) things calmed down. It’s amazing how well they can handle a situation.

  Something to remember about situations like this where time is of the essence, don’t just yell “Someone call 911/for help!” Actually DESIGNATE someone from the crowd to do so. The bystander effect assumes that someone else will do it. Don’t let people think like that. While doing CPR, you’re told to point specifically at someone to call for assistance. Same goes for something like this.

    Yep, point to someone and loudly command them to call 911 NOW. This is First Aid 101.

    Had to do that myself once, not a fun time. Had an emotional breakdown after. EMT and medical professionals at large have my utmost respect.

    To anyone reading this, the bystander effect is maybe not as strong as we once thought. Mainly because a 2019 study showed more than 200 real-life situations caught on CCTV where the bystander effect was not shown to happen.

      Even if it’s not as strong, or even if it doesn’t exist at all, it’s still a good idea. It’s an unambiguous order to a single person. There’s no way to think it’s anything else. A general appeal can be seen as anyone else should do it, but you’re not going to.

  If I am boxed in by a car with no police lights with masked men jumping out and immediately pointing guns at me… Floor it. This is self defense because I have no way of knowing who is threatening my life. With guns drawn you can’t see POLICE on the vests either.

  I would prefer that and deal with the aftermath after.

    The aftermath might be you’re dead… but eventually this is going to happen and they will survive and it’s going to go to court. I would love to see the precedent get set that it was indeed self defense.

  1] The US public has no right to film ICE (per the DOJ). 2] ICE has complete immunity. 3] ICE hates cameras.

    If you do illegal things, you’ll put put into the criminal category they want to put you into anyway. Resisting qualifies you as criminal as well.

      According to the bootlicking chodes I’ve argued with recently, just existing anywhere near ICE performing their kidnapping operations is obstruction.

      Apparently getting shot in the back 10 times is excusable if you were somehow preventing ICE from disappearing people by standing on a public sidewalk. It’s total psychopath abuser mentality.

    I read a post from someone in MN that said ICE typically doesn’t pursue people that run (on foot or vehicle). They can chase you, probably not legally in most cases, but laws don’t apply.

    That unmarked car stops me without warning and four masked men with guns drawn jump out of the car I’m assuming I’m in a fight for my life.

    I’d lose, but you’re dead either way in that scenario. This woman came within moments of the end of her life.

      Anyone’s best bet is to try to swerve around in that situation, before they stopped. I’ve had yahoos once try to box me in like that when road raging. You don’t know what they’ll do once they get out, so just swerve around before you find out.

    Explorer and chargers commonly have bullet proof windshields made in the correct shape since their police vehicles, but they’re significantly heavier and require specialized knowledge and adhesive to install correctly.

  The link doesn’t work for me so I can’t see if there’s video. But people filming police get detained all the time. This is what the first amendment auditors and police accountability crowd are all about. I wish people cared so much the million other times this has happened for decades.

    The video isn’t of that. She was driving in a car and they were chasing her, likely due to filming them before this starts.

    They speed ahead of her, no flashing lights, stop in front of her and come out of the car guns immediately drawn ponting at her wearing masks.
