Huh I see, but I wonder it appears to sync with the website? Is this coordinated outside the lemmy server?

Interesting, TIL keyword filtering is still a WIP, frontends are doing their own locally. Tesseract is available on lemmy.zip, it has filters but is a quite different experience.

While I personally agree in keeping communication with the unfiltered world, there is endless reasons to filter lemmy and all are equally valid.

Lemmy can block words, communities, or entire instances, if you know what your blocking for. Often illegal or excessive content will get reported by other users who browse new before it hits hot. But without forcing everything posted under a moderator review first, I’m not sure you could achieve perfect preemptive filtering.

Yah controller support is best it’s ever been – but many PC games still benefit with mouse-like dexterity. And for many games, the ability to add additional buttons and macros.

Sounds like I should start holding my payments in escrow, just in case the publisher decides to shut down their game less than 2 weeks after taking my money. Got it!

“Refunds for PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct purchases may take 30-60 days to appear on your bank statement”
Why do companies do this? They can process millions of dollars of incoming payments instantly, but take up to 2 months to reverse? Give me a break.

Yes this is true, they’re a talent management company. A couple months back Night Inc also bought The Roost bringing H3, Phillip DeFranco, Ludwig and others under their umbrella too.

It’s a fancy handle (admittedly, very fancy) for safety razor blades. The blades themselves are generic/interchangeable and a lot cheaper.

- Comment on Rebel Moon — The Director's Cut Red Band Trailer (2024) 2 months ago:
For the record I don’t actually think it’s intentional. Truly believe the studios mess up the films to meet a runtime or rating, then call him back to correct it. And after the Snyder cut outrage, his versions practically have marketing built into it.
- Comment on Rebel Moon — The Director's Cut Red Band Trailer (2024) 2 months ago:
I definitely agree, I mean it was dreamed up and pitched as a star wars story which is pg/pg-13 so I can sort of understand the expectations. But after it was decided to be an independent franchise it should have had the freedom to break that mold from the beginning.
- Comment on Rebel Moon — The Director's Cut Red Band Trailer (2024) 2 months ago:
Lol are studios intentionally screwing up Snyder movies to get a second go? Feels like it. Rebel Moon was exceptionally mid, seems like this cut will improve it but probably not enough to propel it to “good”.

Local LLMs can be compressed to fit on consumer hardware. Model formats like GUFF and Exl2 can be loaded up with a offline hosted API like KobaldCPP or Oobabooga. These formats lose resolution and become “dumber” but it’s good enough for many uses.
