- Comment on Is it expected to tip for furniture deliveries? 4 days ago:
As someone who said “hell no” earlier in the thread, asking for four stories with a fridge is an entirely appropriate situation to tip.
Check your delivery contracts, they’ll usually specify ground delivery or one floor only. Four is very much above and beyond, and worth the bribe if they’ll agree to it.
- Comment on Is it expected to tip for furniture deliveries? 4 days ago:
In US and Hell no. I paid for the furniture, I paid for the delivery. My side is done.

- Comment on Steam games will now need to fully disclose kernel-level anti-cheat on store pages 2 weeks ago:
I’d really like Valve to take an official policy on post-release changes that break games, but for what it’s worth they have not given me any hassle with refunds in these scenarios.

A human would likely ask the professor who is Frankie Hawkes… later in the post they reveal F. Hawkes is a dog.

Awesome list, but watch IP Man 1 first.
SPL (kill zone) has a great scene with Donnie Yen too.

- Comment on Why do cell phones have a data limit but home internet doesn't? 3 weeks ago:
My previous home line had a hard cap at 1TB per month. That seemed like a lot at the time, but I think as the internet grows and requires more bandwidth these “sky high” caps will feel smaller and smaller.
- Comment on Why do cell phones have a data limit but home internet doesn't? 3 weeks ago:
50GB a month though?? You don’t use any video streaming services at all?
- Comment on Thieves caught stealing political yard signs 3 weeks ago:
Yeah, even his best estimates put him over the dollar threshold. His “they’re $3 on etsy” argument is equally stupid anyway. It’s like arguing “air jordans” are available on aliexpress, so it’s okay. Official signs, from the campaign, $20/each.
- Comment on Thieves caught stealing political yard signs 3 weeks ago:
I hope they pressed charges. As they pointed out, regardless of the value of signs, that’s a lot of trespassing to acquire them.

10-30 meters to the random apple device, pending environment conditions.

I’m still waiting for buttfuckers to open their first store, should be any day now.
- Comment on Is it okay to fake Vitiligo makeup for a cosplay?? 5 weeks ago:
I think it sounds like a cool spin on the character and you should do it. You’re not faking vitiligo, you’re faking burns, and I agree with your assessment that skin will look like that while healing… chances of anyone getting upset about this seems low.
- Comment on Little Big Planet 3 and all LBP series DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store October 31st 5 weeks ago:
All the online/user created content was lost for all these games too, iirc. Sony took the servers down for maintenance and never brought them back.
- Comment on Ubisoft Director Claims "Non-Decent Humans" Are Wishing For Company's Demise 5 weeks ago:
I wouldn’t say I’m wishing for Ubisoft to collapse, more that I’ve decided to not give them any money for reskinning the same design repeatedly, and think more people should do the same…

You’re absolutely not alone. Someone just pointed at me from the depths of a pool. Actual creeps down my back, something I haven’t felt since silent hill 2

Wonder water shader and lighting. You’re definitely capturing the vibe.

That sounds like a pretty nice PC to me. Probably not going to play everything on ultra, but neither do consoles.

Sweet, just in time for the pro. Fingers crossed the next revision doesn’t play games at all, just $1000 to pipe Morbius trailers to my TV. It’s all I ever wanted.

Amazing footage, definitely settled my question.

You’ve misread friend, women will not be drawn to the box. You should try something shiny instead, that’s pretty universal.

Lure is the right word, thank you. That’s so gosh darn adorable. What a cutie murder machine

Huh I see, but I wonder it appears to sync with the website? Is this coordinated outside the lemmy server?

Interesting, TIL keyword filtering is still a WIP, frontends are doing their own locally. Tesseract is available on lemmy.zip, it has filters but is a quite different experience.

While I personally agree in keeping communication with the unfiltered world, there is endless reasons to filter lemmy and all are equally valid.
- Comment on How can users avoid bad content on Lemmy (particularly rule breaking or illegal comments/posts? 1 month ago:
Lemmy can block words, communities, or entire instances, if you know what your blocking for. Often illegal or excessive content will get reported by other users who browse new before it hits hot. But without forcing everything posted under a moderator review first, I’m not sure you could achieve perfect preemptive filtering.
