Getting to black sash in northern Shaolin is a personal challenge. It’s great excercise, good community, gets me out of the house.
6 years in and 2 forms away from black. I’m almost there

Take a book with you…or start reading the backs of the cleaning products under the sink
- Comment on Why do phone manufacturers use in-display fingerprint readers instead of fingerprint readers on the power button? 5 days ago:
Remember kids, don’t use fingerprint to unlock your phone. Use a passcode. Cops can force your fingerprint if they want to look through your device, but they can’t force you to reveal a password

- Comment on Diablo IV surpasses $1B in revenue, with $150M coming in from microtransactions 1 week ago:
Waiting for the sequel of PoE to launch. Latest disable just sucked. It was a slog. And you don’t get to experiment with abilities and equipment so much, there’s usually only 1 good combination for any class…don’t use it, you won’t win
- Comment on Why are there so many streaming services? 1 week ago:
Streaming is cheaper for me than cable cuz I don’t watch sports. Anything sports is crazy expensive which is why cable was so expensive.

What would be a real condo emergency? Like a pipe burst? Doesn’t sound like something the super could handle without a plumber coming.
- Comment on How exactly does one eat 1500 calories a day? 1 month ago:
My sifu gave us this advice.
Eat colorful foods. Don’t eat white foods. Take 1 or 2 less bites of everything. Leave the table just a bit hungry. Drink plenty of water. Don’t eat before bed.

- Comment on Why no one wants to host the Olympics 2 months ago:
I don’t think I have ever watched any Olympic event.
Besides, it costs hundreds of millions to host because they demand new stadiums, all that housing and Infrastructure… Then it all gets abandoned except for the higher tax bill to pay for the bonds issued to build it all

- Comment on Is everyone so depressed now partially because modern science has probably proven there is no god / afterlife? 2 months ago:
An afterlife was created by humans natural survival instinct. Before science, I’m 100% sure that it was a coping mechanism to deal with our knowledge of impending death.
Now that we understand more of the universe, most still can’t shake that need.
- Comment on If you had a drain that you knew was clogged only with hair, could you unclog the drain only using Nair? 2 months ago:
Go buy a snake from a hardware store. Spend the extra 10 and get one that has a drill attachment. I’ve used mine 4 or 5 times to clear out clogs… Saves so much money on a pro plumber

Not bigger and stronger… But more frequent and on average skewing toward the stronger end of the cat 1 to 5 scale.
- Comment on Awnings: a simple cooling tech we apparently forgot about 2 months ago:
Florida used to build houses with metal awning you would fold down over the window for hurricanes. We did away with those because hurricanes got stronger and would rip them off turning them to flying projectiles. Now we have panels and no awnings. Because of hurricane codes

They will unfreeze my head 1000 years from now like Futurama.
Upon waking, scientists will welcome me to the future world…
… Then ask if I wouldn’t mind making a change to a COBOL app still in use by the gov.
- Comment on is there a set top media player that doesn't require an online account? 2 months ago:
The Google tracking. I run everything out of my garage. Just to avoid a Google signin. Plus you can’t get an account without linking it with a phone number. VoIP numbers don’t work last time I tried.
