As I get older, I realized I’m just not in that much of a hurry anymore. And I really, really don’t want to hit a kid, so I’ll drive slow thru towns.
Freeway though, that’s 80 mph.

Yeah but are you in the fast lane
No such thing as a fast lane on roads that aren’t highways
Life in the fast lane, surely make you lose your mind.
Boo this slow town driver
If you get this upset from someone driving below the speed limit, then you should not be driving.
But what if they are on the fast lane below the speed limit?
People should keep right except to pass, typically.
Over short distances, the difference between going 40 and 30 or even 20 are miniscule. I’ve still had people lose their shit when I wouldn’t blaze through a school zone. Just chill out bro, the fast food will be there all day.
But I live somewhere I don’t need to drive anymore, and I’m happy with it.
Thank god you’ll get fined for driving below the speed limit where I live.
“Slow down, this ain’t the mainland!”
I just chill when I drive. If there’s a speed minimum, I obey it, but otherwise I’m just out there to relax and have a good time. I don’t even look at people’s faces when they pass. I’m not doing anything wrong. If they’re mad, they need to get over it. (My bf hates driving with me.)
I’m the same. Giving yourself an extra 15 minutes more than you expect the commute to take will save you hours when you don’t have to deal with hitting someone later.
Blasting down the road might save you about 3 minutes on an hour and a half trip, as best I can tell. It doesn’t seem worth the stress or the danger of causing an accident or getting pulled over.
Bro, this is the legit face I see going 85 on 430 getting passed by octogenarians! Shit is wild in the middle of nowhere!
Til little Rock is the judge of nowhere…
Conway, but yeah. I came from Miami, so it seems very small in comparison.
This is actually my grandma. She would would always give middle finger too. Her road rage is crazy. But so is her rage so its on brand.
I keep telling my partner that she should keep about a dozen hammers in her car so that I can chuck them at other drivers through the window. She has yet to take me up on the idea.
Thanks for sharing this- I was too busy watching the road, and didn’t notice.
in a just world, not one centered around corporate interests, you would lose your license for this. instead, the automotive industry has to ensure that there’s plenty of drivers to buy their cars, so we can’t be too harsh on our licensing laws.
I guess it doesn’t matter. 50,000 deaths per year due to traffic accidents is a fair price to pay for the freedom to sit in traffic.
Rear driver chooses a following distance.
Front driver chooses a speed, adjusted for the following distance.
Then I feel bad when the driver id an older person with a kind demeanor

Yeah, that’s me on Prius, driving deliberately not above speed limit to laugh at your funny face when you pass and then not shine my high lights at you feeling moral superiority.

That’s a way to say I’ve got PhD without saying I’ve got PhD.

Do what you want, just don’t do it in the passing lane.

Where I live now, having more that one lane is a luxury few places could afford. I still slow down and move towards shoulder if I see The Secret Hints (those funny blinky yellow lights that do not seem to work in many, many cars).

Do you actually know the true speed you are driving at?
alzymologist@sopuli.xyz 3 weeks ago
yes, it’s about 5km/h lower than what panel says, I use GPS to fuel my ego! This bike is not made for speed.
I can drive fast and pull 4wd cars from snow with this car (I pulled dudes on RAMs from Grand Canyon snowy roads with 2010 Corolla), I just don’t want to.
