- Comment on Emulating PS2 for my Steam Deck, would love any recommendations! 5 days ago:
I’m not particularly into sports games but the NBA Street and NFL Street games were SUPER fun. Everything else I loved has already been mentioned in this thread though.

You beat me to Red Faction, that was some of the most fun I had in middle/high school.
- Comment on Microsoft CEO Admits That AI Is Generating Basically No Value 6 days ago:
I’m thinking they were hoping that people would jump on it so hard they would rely on AI to make decisions and tell them what to do, but Microsoft would hold the keys to what information the AI put out.
Generally, though, when you force things down people’s throats and they don’t want it or want to use it, you’re in for a bad time. I personally go out of my way not to use AI; there are tons of articles and talks out there about how it stifles critical thinking and research. That, coupled with how early it is and how they tried to put it in EVERYTHING, put a bad taste in my mouth just like Y2K many moons ago.

- Comment on Hi-Rez Studios is laying off further employees and ending development on Smite, Paladins, and Rogue Company 3 weeks ago:
Of all their games I easily have 800+ hours in Rogue Company and saw the writing on the wall after a year of no additional content and the same Christmas theme year-round. I stopped playing 6 months ago because I didn’t want to invest in more time in a game that wasn’t being supported and could be shut down any time.
I guess the good news is the servers will be up, but who is going to play now?

Love rhythm games, couldn’t get into Curse. Saw a review for Rift and will have to check out the demo.

I commented recently that I think it’s a party hat for when humanity fucks itself and they’re the new large brained mammals of Earth.

Maybe they’re celebrating the damage humans are doing to themselves and are excited about a time where they’re once again the biggest brained, smartest mammal on earth.
Maybe.

Similarly I was working on a track and doing something super experimental that I was going to revert and accidentally hit CTRL S instead of CTRL A (automation), saving all the weird shit.
Luckily I didn’t lose it, but CTRL Z-ing bact to prior was annoying because I did some things I wanted to keep on other channels

- Comment on Naughty Dog’s next game will reportedly offer ‘a lot of player freedom’ | VGC 4 months ago:
For Naughty Dog? They have a solid track record of great games. I’m more enthusiastic than pessimistic, but it sucks it’ll likely be a PlayStation exclusive for a while.
- Comment on Seeking feedback: how should lemm.ee move forward with external images? (related to frequent broken images) 4 months ago:
I would pick image pass through because I’m not necessarily concerned about the image hoster logging my IP. I have been more frustrated with broken links, so I am very much opposed to the current method.

- Comment on ‘Captain America: Brave New World' bombs at test screening 4 months ago:
That’s great to hear because the little references and cameo’s from other characters was the cherry on top of a not very serious show. To enjoy it without the meta is a sign of a good show!
- Comment on ‘Captain America: Brave New World' bombs at test screening 4 months ago:
I think he was great in Twisted Metal and the show, as a whole, was a hoot. I’d say I even liked it more than the Fallout show, but honestly I played waaaaay more Twisted Metal than Fallout.

I know unions, my dad was a union VP for over a decade. I’ve seen how companies can be shitty even if you have the union backing you.
- Comment on US Dockworker Strike Wins 62% Raises 4 months ago:
But knowing how shitty companies are they’ll likely make some excuse to fire people before they get close to their 6 year maximum. It’s similar to how fast food places avoid hiring someone full time by scheduling them for 35 hours a week instead of 40.
